Chapter Forty-Four: Adventure

Oshawott: How long have we been walking?

Piplup: About 4 hours now.

Oshawott: Well it's felt like 12, could we stop?

Tepig: Well, *looks at map* it says that we should be coming up on a desert soon. How about we stop there.

Oshawott: Fine.

Lucario: I think we're getting close, there are fewer trees around than usual.

Pikachu: Thank goodness! I've gotten tired of just looking at trees!

Chimchar: Same h-here.

Rowlet: Let me fly up and see how close we are to that desert. *fly's away*

Piplup: So why did you guys decide to join us?

Lucario: Well, we kinda owed you for helping us with the war.

Piplup: Oh.

Tepig: Also, what happened to Zoura?

Oshawott: We have no clue. We couldn't find them.

Tepig: That ain't good.

Chimchar: Yeah.

Rowlet: *Fly's down* Guys! we're like 20 minutes away!

Oshawott: Woo!

Pikachu: Finally!

Piplup: So what do you want to do to pass the time?

Pikachu: How about Mafia?

Tepig: Yea!

Lucario: What is Mafia?

Pikachu: Oh, Mafia is basically...

(A couple of minutes of explaining later)

Oshawott: I-wh-u- I have nothing to say.

Pikachu: Yeah, it's kinda confusing.

Lucario: Also, why would you want to have a game about people killing each other?

Pikachu: uh, good question!

Pikachu: So, is that a no for Mafia?

...

(A couple of minutes of silence later)

Rowlet: Guys! I can see the desert!

Chimchar: C-cool!

Oshawott: Finally! My legs feel like jello!

Pikachu: (Quietly) How do you know what jello is?

...

Oshawott: Okay, now can we stop?

Piplup: Yeah, we should. It's probably around 1 am.

Tepig: So do we have anything to sleep on?

Lucario: I don't think we do.

Pikachu: Also we slept in a bush before. I think this is fine.

Rowlet: Well let's try to go to sleep. We probably need some energy for tomorrow.

...

Piplup: *Gets up and walks over to me* (Quietly) Hey, Eevee. Are you okay?

Me: (Quietly) Oh, yeah. I'm fine.

Piplup: (Q) Well you didn't talk during that entire walk. Are you sure?

Me: (Q) *sigh* Yeah.

Piplup: (Q) But, you don't seem fine. Please just tell us if you aren't. I'm starting to worry about you.
