How I almost lost him

I'm sorry -2

Naruto POV
It was now the end of the school day, I was putting all my stuff in locker while Gaara was waiting for. He was on his phone, it looked like he was texting someone. If I were to guess he was texting Lee, I saw his cheeks turn a light pink (a/n: you perverts get your head out the gutter(=_=)).

We started to make our way to the roof. When we got there, before I opened the door I took a deep breath. Then I opened the door and I was shocked in who I saw standing there......... Sasuke.

He turned around and then he saw me. I quickly looked away, I guessed Gaara noticed because he quickly went in front of me and was being the big brother like figure trying to protect me.

"ARE YOU THE ONE WHO REJECTED HIM?!"  Gaara yelled at Sasuke

"Gaara stop" I tried to clam him down so there wouldn't be a problem.

"Naruto can we please talk, in private?" he empathized the words "in private"

"ANY THING YOU HAVE TO SAY TO HIM YOU CAN SAY IT IN FRONT OF ME!" Gaara had an aura around him that  seemed to want blood.

"Gaara" I said hoping he would listen.

" WELL WERE WAITING" Gaara completely ignored me.

"GAARA" at this point I was annoyed

" What is it?"

" Go I don't think he'll hurt me, I think he just wants to talk."

" But-" before he could finish his sentence he was cut off by none other than Sasuke.

" I can promise that I  won't hurt him, I just want to talk" he looked at Gaara right in the eye while saying that.

The atmosphere was very uncomfortable. It was silent, you could probably hear a pin drop.

"Fine, but if he's has one bruise or cut on his body there will be hell to pay" Gaara gave me one more glance and then left.

Now it was now me and Sasuke on the roof. I avoided his gaze has much as I could. I just stood there keep my gaze on the ground.

"Naruto please look at me..... I know what I said but disregard that please?" Sasuke's voice sound like it broke half way through the sentence.

I was hesitant but I slowly lifted up my head and looked at him.

Sasuke POV

His ocean blue eyes met with my onxy ones. They were so beautiful.....

My chest started to hurt and the harmful words I said to him started to ring in my head.

"Naruto, I wanted to say sorry, I'm sorry for being an ass hole towards you. I'm sorry for hurting, I'm sorry that I I didn't stand up for you when you needed me to. And I know saying sorry won't make the cut, I'm not asking you to forgive and to be my friend again but just please let me do something, anything just to make it up to you!"At this point I was crying I closed my eyes and I tried to make the crying stop. I started to hear noises coming from the direction of Naruto, I soon felt two arms wrap around me, I opened my eyes to find Naruto hugging me and also crying.

"I can't forgive you just yet but please all I ask of you is to stay by my side." I was shocked but was happy that he would allow me to stand by his side. I slowly hugged back.

"I will, I promise I will!" at this point I was crying tears of joy instead of tears of sadness.

" One more thing, Sasuke" Naruto said muffled due to his face being in my chest.

"What is it?"

"Please don't leave me alone again"

"I won't, I promise"
