Chapter 6

We went to the cafeteria after my stunt. Lynne was blubbering non-sense when we reached our friends' table.

I rolled my eyes when she began narrating what happened and they laughed really hard when she was done.

Milo was giving me a thumbs up look, Amy was covering her face while giggling and Trey tried to reach for me and squeeze my arm but I glared at him so he backed away in defense.

They were all teasing me while asking Lynne for more details. I scoffed at them. The students who were looking while whispering to each other when they pass by didn't help to calm my mood at all.

Halo-halong emosyon ang nararamdaman ko ngayon at hindi ko ito gusto.

Then my phone suddenly rang with Maggie's call. Don't tell me she already knows! I hissed at my friends then showed them my phone to ask them who told her what happened. They shrugged in return.

I held my breath and answered the call, "Hello?" I said in tiny voice.

"Lucille!" She said on the other line.

Before she could say anything I started talking fast, "Look, Auntie! He challenged me and you know I hated to be challenged so I took his threat and kissed him in front of everyone!" I panted when I stopped.

She didn't make a sound for a while then said, "What?"

"Who told you about what I did, Auntie?" I said while glaring at my friends.

"What?" She said again, sounding really confused.

Then I realized she doesn't know! "What" I said in confusion.

"What did you do, anak??" She squealed in excitement.

"Talk to you later!" I blurted out and attempted to hang up.

Then I heard her say, "Wait!!" So I put my phone back on my ear. "Your mom called the landline. Talk to her."

I sighed, "Sure."

"I'm serious! talk to her!" She said with her authoritative tone. I nodded even though she couldn't see me. "And one more thing. I'm going on a date so kumain ka na bago umuwi or you can cook for yourself may mga stocks pa naman sa pantry."

Date? Oh there's that. Even with her current age madami pa din nagkaka-gusto sakanya. She dates and dumps them before they get the chance to propose to her.

"What time are you coming home?" I said causally.

"I don't know. Late or maybe tomorrow? It depends on how it goes." She answered with a hint of playfulness in her voice.

"Fine. Enjoy Auntie! Love you!" I told her.

"Love you!" She said before hanging up.

Nahigit ang hiningi ko pagkatapos ng tawag. Nilaglag ko ang sarili ko! Napaka tanga!

Trey took me home when all of our class were finished. I insisted for him to come inside and we'll order food via grab. He kindly declined before driving away.

I fished out my keys and opened the door. True enough, Auntie isn't here but her car is still parked in the garage. Her date must've fetched her.

I went to my room and took some clothes inside my closet. I straight went to my bathroom and took a shower and did my skincare.

When I was done, I wore my clothes, wrapped my towel on my hair and stepped outside.

My MacBook is sitting on my study table. I took it and put it on my bed then I lie down.
