Watee has always loved strolling around his campus. It was one of the places he didn't have to deal with the headache brought by his tenants, and he could also unwind with the cool breeze brought by the tall trees around the university. His long strides were a sign that he was feeling well today, as he looked around, seeing other students from different departments mingling and causing a raucous, but he paid them no mind. Today was a great day, and nothing could ever change that.

Or so he thought.

After telling his friends that he wants to eat lunch alone for today because he has to study for the upcoming exam in one of their subjects, he continued down the long driveway with grass open for picnics on each side. The buildings were on either side, too, and he could see some hanging out to get a fresh ambiance with the green environment. Carrying his small bag filled with books on his shoulder, and holding his phone in the other hand, he made his way towards the campus cafeteria.

Before he can arrive there, however, he has to go through one more building— the psychology department, his brother's building. It's not like he has any problem seeing his brother, but he generally feels weird seeing him on campus, especially when he sees him all the time at home and when he visits their father. He would rather not see him at the campus but he would also consider it a plus, seeing a familiar face; but in this case, it was not just one, but two familiar figures that were standing in the middle of the hallway.

Watee had no idea why but his fight-or-flight response triggered him to immediately turn into a corner and hide in a blind spot, enough for him to be sighted if he moved out of the way, but also enough for him to eavesdrop on the conversation. There were not many people in the building now as it was lunch break for most of the departments, which Watee was thankful for because he did not need people giving him weird looks and exposing his hiding spot.

"Maitee, I had no idea you were dropping by," T-Rex chuckled, and Watee could hear his own heartbeat spike.

He heard another voice, a familiar laugh, "I wanted to treat you to lunch today."

"This is probably another one of your code words. What do you need from me now?"

Huh? Watee could not understand anything of what they are saying, as he heard another shuffle of shoes, he guessed they were now turning away from him and began walking. He heard Maitee's reply to him, it was faint, but it was clear, "Let's discuss this over lunch."

The footsteps stopped being audible, and Watee knew he was in the clear. Stepping out from his spot, he heaved a sigh of relief.

"Watee?"

"Shit!"

If it was possible, Watee jumped three feet backward, slamming himself into a wall where he has just been hiding. He felt throbbing back at the back of his head as he muttered another string of curses.

"Sorry, Watee. I'm just surprised to see you there!"

Maetee scratched his head, feeling apologetic as he watched Watee struggle to get his footing back. He looked around and saw that the corridor was empty except for them, "Why are you here?"

"Why are you here?" Watee scowled, his irritation evident from his features. Maetee just laughed at him, already amused that he looks like this little kid throwing a tantrum, mostly because of their small height difference, "I was planning to have lunch with T-Rex, where is he by the way?"

"Apparently, T-Rex is going to have lunch with Maitee."

"Really?" Maetee widened his eyes, he surely did not expect that to happen. T-Rex usually ate with him or his friends, but he remembered that sometimes Maitee would go with him to eat but it was just a rare occasion.
