It was a calm, cool day in the Dream Bubbles. Horuss was viewing a memory of where Rufioh, his favourite person and boyfriend, had, and decided to go ahead and visit said boyfriend to hang out and talk, like they usually do. Loving, cuddling, all of that fun stuff that lovers and significant others do with each other.

However, upon doing so, he discovered Rufioh talking to Kankri. He listened from a distance, "Man... It'd be nice to just... Be free I guess. I can't say I love Horuss the same as I used to. I lost that special connection, yknow?"
Kankri listened intently. "And you've still not told him?"
"I've tried, but I haven't found the right time..."
"You seriously need to tell him before he believes everything you say to him. You can't keep leading him on to something that isn't even real to you anymore."

Horuss took a deep breath in, making sure he heard right. Rufioh was actually not feeling something with him? Why? Was he not special enough for him anymore? Was he not everything he'd wanted in a person? He then let the deep breath out, feeling anxiety. Usually he'd go to his meowrail, Meulin, about this, but he wasn't feeling it. Horuss sat against the tree he was hanging out at, waiting for Rufioh to tell him.

The bull butterfly went to look for Horuss, viewing the trees and whatnot. He then found the horse boy sitting casually against a large tree, smiling calmly. "Hey," Rufioh started. "We need to talk."
"Very well. You may proceed," Horuss replied, nodding calmly.
"I... I need us to end this. This relationship. I just... Don't feel anything anymore. I don't want to keep hurting you anymore by leading you on, yknow? Just... I don't want to be with you anymore."
Horuss nodded, "I understand. I hope you have a good rest of your afterlife."

And the taller stood up, and walked away in a straight path, smiling painfully. It was true. Rufioh didn't like him the same. He never did. He wasn't happy with him, and he didn't know this all along. He felt tears forming, his chest tightening up. He let the tears steam up his goggles, so he took the goggles off and sat on a bench near a short, East-Beforan girl. He sniffled, slouching on the bench. He then burst into tears, hiding his face within his hands, sobbing uncontrollably. The girl watched all of this, raising a brow.

"Wow, that went better than I thought..." Rufioh said as he watched Horuss go into another dream bubble, scratching his chin and flying off towards the opposite direction, never to be seen again.
