Author's POV
"Master, the red blood full moon is already near but still we couldn't able to find the one." Jessie said, one of the high officials of Feros clan.
"It is impossible for us not to find her already..." Daiso answered.
Feros remained poker face and staring at nowhere while listening to the words of his committee. They are in chaos already, especially now that one of their skilled hunter already turned his back from the clan. He is so done with this shit already. After years of searching for the one, they still couldn't be able to find her.
"What are you even doing?" Feros spoke up. Everyone went silent the moment they heard him talk. They felt shivers on their spine.
Feros is really intimidating. His power and leadership is one of the reason why he became the leader of all immortals existing is Rome. He has a power that everyone wants. With his eyes that is crimson red, everyone is afraid to get on his way.
"Master..." Jade nervously answered. One of Feros' trusted powerful warrior.
Feros' eyes scans every faces that is sitting on the round table with anger and domination. "20 years. We've been at search for 20 years but no one, not even one of you succeeded on finding the girl?"
"She was kept, master. Hidden from the eyes of everyone. Even all the people of Albania, not every single soul knows the face of the princess." Ragon answered.
"Everything became harder now that the hunters turned their backs on the clan already. They said they wanted to live peacefully and stop the hunting." Said Daiso.
Feros chuckled evilly from what he heard. Soon, his laugh went louder that brings confusion to all the members of highest committee."Peace?" He laugh again then suddenly his face showed the most dangerous expression he has. "There isn't peace to all immortals. Blood is the definition of our peace."
Everyone went silent. They all know that Feros is telling thw truth. Even if they themselves wants to do what the hunters did, they couldn't fight for it because human blood is on their system. They live with it and they continue to exist because of it.
"What about the shifters? What are their plans?" Feros added.
"They are everywhere, master. They are so careful and their pack was full of security but i know that they are planning for an attack." Jade answered.
Having a power that can read minds, she has the advantage against werewolves. Werewolfs can only read the mind of their mate or their pack members but Jade as a vampire can read all their minds. Main reason why Feros is keeping her to the clan.
"Did they already found the girl?" Feros asked.
"Not yet." She answered back.
"9 weeks... We still have 9 weeks for the hunting. We cannot loose the girl." Daiso warned.
"9 weeks is enough." Feros commented. "If we cannot find her within those time... "a smile was lifted from his lips. "Then we should prepare for a war."
"A war..." the committee surprisingly repeat.
"The bloody war." Feros finished.
