You and Dean Winchester had fallen in love. You both met in a dinner and from the moment he said "Hey" with his signature crooked smile, you knew he would be the one. He was always there for you and even bought a house for the two of you. Eventually you got married and had one child, Declan.

Dean would go on cases a lot with Sam, the true hunter in him never really went away. He would call every night and usually be gone two or so days. He would come home tired and dirty. You would help clean him up and put him to bed where he would sleep for hours upon hours.

You had tried to convince him, before you had Declan, that you could go on hunts. You would plea and pester him until he would give you that stern look and you would stop. He said it was too dangerous and he couldn't risk loosing you. You wouldn't argue after that.

Now the two of you sat at the kitchen table with Declan and Sam, eating dinner when Deans phone rang. He excused himself and went into the other room. You looked at sam nervously afraid he was going to have to leave again when he just got back yesterday. He walked back in after a minute, his eyes full of fire and lips pursed together.
"Metatron." Dean says lowly, his voice gravely and rough. Sam nods and together they leave quickly. "I love you." He says as you stand in the doorway. "I love you too." You say back. "Please come back to me." You say as tears well up in your eyes and hug him tightly. You knew about Metatron and knew we he was capable of. You and Declan watch from the front porch as sam and Dean load the impala and drive off.

Dean did not come back from that fight. He did not pull up in your driveway with a smile as Declan ran out to greet him. He did not walk in the house and kiss your cheek with a smile, happy to be home. Instead he came back in Sam's arms, covered in blood with a hole in his chest.

A day after he came back his body went missing with a note that said "Let me go." You had ripped the note up and swore to find him again, alive or dead. You dropped Declan off at your parents house a state over as you and Sam began to search for Dean.

After a month of no luck, you and Sam parted ways. You sat in a bar on your first drink watching the news. You were tired and angry. You missed Dean like hell and you couldn't believe you had let him slip through your fingers.

You began to leave and grabbed your jacket, slipping both arms in. It was one of deans old jackets, it was too big, but you didn't care. It still smelled like him and you imagined being in his arms when you wore it.

You reached for the handle on the door, when it suddenly opened and you came face to face with the love of your life. "Dean." You breathe out and cover your mouth with your hand. He looks at you for a moment before a smirk crosses his face. "Y/n. Long time no see." He says as his eyes turn black and you feel your heart shatter. "No."
