Kalai was dumbstruck on seeing the fights and spilled out grocery. Kavi and Rajesh felt little embarrassed about the situation but they both arranged the table and things to save time for kalai.
When kalai stepped in Jay stopped his unruly behaviour. His raised hands fall as if lifeless body. With shame and anger Jay lowered his eye not meeting kalai,still fuming inside. The beast is always beaten by the beautiful love.
Vasanth cleverly utilised the chance and started hitting and punched Jay which none expected.(Jay too didn't expect ) raju tried to hold but kalai went forward to rescue him and holded Jay in her arms around (best in the worst ). She in an aggressive and stubborn shout warned vasanth to stop his stupid fights. Kalai slowly lifted Jay up and asked him to stay calm ( while Jay is about to ready for round 2 like a wrestler who waiting to punch his opponent).
But the beauty has ordered to stay calm and stood infront of him and middle of two. Jay with a sorry look made a slight gesture of gratitude in controlling his beast. That was again a perfect moment where the four eyes met and melted into each others thought. Their eyes freezed and floated while kavi called kalai she got back her senses.
Vasanth and his friends left the place like a venom carrying snake which is hit and left with life. Jay feel embarrassed because of the mess around but kalai didn't have enough time to carryon so she moved like a lightening into the event hall. This was an unusual feel guilt, love,anger,calm ,responsibility all are mixed in one combo and it didn't allow Jay to stay calm he and raju collected the spilled out groceries as kalai might be in need of it. Atleast saving these can help Jay to apologise in a perfect (not perfect but just a try to connect and explain his side)way.
Jay was not able to collect back himself, he was in a dilemma on one side kalai and on other hand his uncle Jayakumar who served in military for 35years.
Kalai didn't wait for a single second and started to prepare the items for the event. In fireless cooking the only great challenge is presentation and creativity. Here the foods are not cooked it's just blended,chopped, sauted,mashed and made into a fine dish with creativity and presented as well. After completing floral arrangement kalai had a great confidence in winning cooking but unexpected situation made her memory little struck. This competition had a benefit that is the main person can have an assistant when needed. Kalai called kavi " kavi will you please call jay"
Kavi: why, do you need anything ?
Kalai: no I need a partner and right now it's Jay who I need as voluntary partner....
Kavi: 🙄🙄🙄🙄 ( looking wired about this statement kavi asked) the man who never know where is the kitchen, never know the ingredients, never came across cooking is chosen as cooking partner.... Great idea kalai. Have u lost your mind, we need to win and now Jay is in not a good mood too. How will he help you?
I will help u kalai...kavi said.
Kalai: I will win and we will just give this volunteer card to Jay and ask him to get in soon... I need him right now...( kalai ordered kavi and pressed the card into kavi hands harder with stubborn)
In this meanwhile kalai started to chop the carrot and cabbage for the vegetable salad...
Jay and raju entered the hall with the leftover grocery bag with the things which they bought already. Before kavi see kalai felt the presence of Jay and looked into him . She stopped her chopping and rushed towards him and pulled him. ( kalai while running to Jay she plucked the card from kavi and put it in Jay's neck ). She holded his hands and pulled him to their kitchen set table.
Though Jay suddenly didn't expect such a huge attack from kalai he was shattered into pieces of love. His heavy heart suddenly became light like a feather and flew in the cloudnine. Her touch was like the air blown after mint. Cool breeze which made him hot and warm with love. Jay couldn't stop looking at her,but kalai who is in a hurry to win the trophy asked Jay to peel the skin of apple,orange,carrot. She also asked him to cut the packets of chocopowder, sweetcorn.
While giving instructions itself she started blending the milk and Jay made the oreo biscuit into powder .... the spilled powder at times nagged the eyes of Jay and kalai wiped it of for him gently, they both made orae milksmoothe. Meanwhile in the hurry of cutting,chopping both their hands met each other unknowingly. They helped each other by passing the cutted vegetables, even she taught him how to chop the onion slices with perfect rings.... those sorrowful ,guilt ridden hearts now became light for both and when she teach him or instruct him Jay looked like the kid who obey his mother . He often nodded truly like an obedient kid who carry a smile in helping the elders. She also enjoyed instructing him. The college smart and braveness is now obeying to her orders became a little pride to her. She appreciated his work at times and patted his shoulder and when the spoon ,knife ,plates,hersey bottle passed from their hands her nails did little harm to him which was his remembering marks of first day cooking, their touches made him blush with bliss. It is not sensual but essential to lighten up the old guilt and anger into new hope and joy.
After arranging the prepared dishes they both gave a hi-fi to each.
They both after cooking and arranging had 5 more minutes and they cleaned the table and collected the leftover, peeled skin of vegetables, fruits, and spilled out waste corns,chocopowder,pepper,etc in a garbage bag which kalai already Brought from home. She know the best part of cooking is cleaning too. So they both cleaned the area which can also measure their success.
They both with crossed fingers waited for judges panel ....
