Chapter one

" Please tell me all this madness is over! You finally left him right?"

" What No!"

" Seriously Lola?! The guy just left you in the middle of nowhere at night , not caring how you'd get home! He even slapped you just a month ago and you still won't leave him?!"

" I made him angry Quin and that's why he did this. "

" Really?! Now you are defending him? Oh wow!" Brad who's standing next to me says nodding his head!

Lola has totally lost it!

" Am okay and that's all that matters , right?"

" Yes, but you have to get your Shit together and leave that guy before something worse happens. I don't even get what a seventeen year old sees in a forty five year old married man! Your relationship screamed WRONG from the very start !" I say trying my best not to yell.

My blood is boiling right now !

I still cant believe she's dating a married man who's centuries older than her!

He keeps making empty promises, of leaving his wife for her.

Promises which she foolishly believes.

They started dating, two years ago, and I've tried my best to bring Lola back to her senses, but all my warnings fell into deaf ears.

" I know you guys are only looking out for me and I love you a lot for that but i love him! There's no way am leaving him."

" What the fuck has he done to you Lola? "

" Let's just go home..am really tired " Lola say walking past us to the car.

We watch her unlock it and slide in.

" Come on guys....let's go! She says before locking her door.

" What do we do with her Brad?"

" I don't know..let's just thank God that nothing bad happened to her ."

" Sure...let's go before I get in trouble for sneaking out."

" Yeah..we wouldn't want that," Brad says as we walk to the car.

Quin is my name by the way.

Lola, Brad, and I are best friends, and also inseparable! We met in kindergarten and immediately clicked! We've being close since then and would literally do anything for each other.

As you've heard , we are in the middle of nowhere. Brad and i came for Lola after she called and informed us that Mark left her stranded after they had an argument.

We had to drive for almost two hours to get to where she is! And don't forget it's past midnight already!

I sneaked out of my house since there's way my parents would have let me out this late.

I'd have asked my Dad to drive us here but he'd have asked a lot of questions, especially because he's the chief of police. I think that's partly why he's super protective, and strict with me.

Anyway, Dad would have made sure Mark was behind bars.

I'd really have loved for Mark to be locked up, but Lola would be devastated if that happened, and she did make us promise not to tell anyone about her relationship with Mark.

That's why we had no choice but to come for her all by ourselves.

Lola phone vibrates after an hour on the road and her face ligtens up immediately.

Am sure it Mark.

I really hate that guy Mark!

This is not the first time he's mistreating her and i don't get why she wont just leave him!
