The marble airport floors clanked against my standardised FBI shoes. Because I guess the FBI gets' to pick and choose what I wear on the job. But I don't care. Other than the itchy collared shirt. I unfold and slip my sunglasses on like in those action movies. As I walk up to the security gate. I pull out my FBI ID.
"Asking permissions to skip security due to urgent mission," I say just like they told us to. Us being me and my fellow trainees.
"Permissions granted as long as I can scan," The security officer says back. I hand her my ID,"Checking databases. You are on the clear," They hand me the ID back. I stuff it in my front jacket pocket. I'm not finished with using my Id. She prints out my security pass ticket. I hold it up as they let me through.
Man, it's hot in here. Why? Don't people always say the airports are cold. I take off my jacket throwing it in a lump on top of my suitcase. Wait. I remember now. They told us if anything seems suspicious it's ok to check. As soon as the mission starts they might be after us. "They" as in people behind it or henchman the professor's would always say. They we never super clear on anything at all.
I pull out my phone.
Ava- Requesting background check. It's hot in here🥵
Mission commander Sven-What did I say about emojis in here. Background check up and running
Eren Cortine- We have bad news. Looks like there's a sabotage.
System- Code red.
Sven- Ava your job is to get on that jet and your ass out of there.
Ava- What is going on
Sven- JUST move IT!
Ava- Yessir
I rush down the hall holding my ID out. They always taught us to move under low information. I'll just have to deal with my goal. Boarding that plane and getting out of here. Shit! My boarding is upstairs. It's a rat maze in here. Argh. Well I guess I'll have to pull a few stunts. I pull out the latest gadget. A perifizizer as Dr. Harboney calls it. But it's just the newest grappling hook. More compact too. I latch onto the railing on the edge of the upstairs. Pressing the button that makes me shoot up towards the next floor. I straighten out my legs keeping balance as I shoot up. As I am halfway up(Which went by pretty quick) I hear a gunshot and one of the FBI guards scream in agony. Barley. Oh no...
Remember back to your training. Remember you can do this. Oh Barley...I lose my balance, swinging around and slamming my back into the railing. I grip my hands on it and pull myself up. Rushing to get there before whoever it is does. I run to boarding fumble to get my ticket and my fbi ID. Sweat pours down my face as I finally pull it out for them to scan. I rush onto the plane, hearing the sirens of Emergency Emergency! There is a threat please hide or exit the nearest emergency exit if possible Emergency Emergency. I hear people scream in terror. I hear my hard breathing and my butt slamming down on my seat. I hear them close the plane door. I hear running foot steps up the ramp to get to the door. Peace. Wait no! I hear banging on the plane door and the clicking of a gun. I hear the plane engine fire up and the plane wheels moving fast. I look out the window. We are running.
"Attention we will be doing an emergency launch!" The pilot says as the plane picks up speed in the taxi area. We lift off the ground.
Maybe peace? But i'm not gonna jynx it.
