Harry’s POV:
My phone buzzed and I looked at it, it was Hannah.
“H-H-Harry?” She seemed scared or something.
“Hannah, what’s wrong?”
“H-Harry I need you to get all of the boys on the line right now.”
Uh oh, this must be really important. I put my hand over the speaker and call for the lads. They all gathered around me.
“Harry what’s wrong?” Liam asked, concerned.
“Hannah’s on the phone and told me to gather you; she wouldn’t tell me what was wrong though.”
All of their faces went into a concerned state.
“Ok, Hannah, all of the lads are here, what do you need to tell us?”
“Sh-Sh-Shannon-” She couldn’t even finish before Niall cut her off.
“Shannon what?” He almost yelled.
“W-we were at the gym and she was on the treadmill and all of a sudden she-she just fell. I-I don’t know why she fell. I called an ambulance and they’re on their way” She said, sniffling.
The lads and I were just astonished; we couldn’t find the words to say.
Niall finally spoke up, “What hospital will she be at, do you know?”
“Yeah. We’ll be there in two minutes guys.” She said steadying her breathing. She then told us a hospital that was not far away.
“Ok, we’ll be there soon Hannah, hopefully in about five minutes.” I said.
She hung up because they were getting Shannon into the ambulance and she was going with Shannon. We all got into the car, I was driving, Niall next to me, and Liam, Louis, and Zayn in the back, Louis in the middle. I sped over to the hospital driving as fast, faster than the speed limit allows, but this is an emergency so it felt like an exception. It took about 4 minutes to get to the hospital since I was speeding. I texted Hannah asking what room Shannon was in. She said that Shannon was in room 214.
We walked into the hospital and told the lady at the counter that we were seeing Shannon. The lady nodded her head and let us go. We ran to the elevator and hit the button for the second floor. As soon as the doors opened we ran down the hall and searched for Shannon’s room. Finally room 214, we walked in and saw Hannah passed out in some uncomfortable position and Shannon sleeping peacefully in the hospital bed. I sat down next to Hannah and kissed her forehead, she had gone through something scary. Niall went over to Shannon and started crying. He hadn’t even been crying for five minutes when Shannon’s eyes fluttered.
“Wh-what’s happening? Where am I? Why are you crying Niall?” She laughed a little when she asked the last question.
Niall picked his head up and hugged Shannon afraid he was going to lose her again.
“God, Shannon, don’t ever do that again, you scared the shit out of me.”
“Wh-what? What happened?” Shannon was so confused.
I had woken up Hannah. She walked over to Shannon, a concerned face on Hannah and a confused face on Shannon.
“Sh-Shannon, y-you you fell when we were at the gym. We were running watching NCIS and then…all of a sudden you passed out or something. I-I got scared and called an ambulance then called to the lads to meet us over here.”
“So what’s wrong with me?”
The nurse walked in and went over to the IV then spoke. “You have a very strange case of Misophonia, instead of becoming enraged when you hear an everyday sound you passed out after you heard some strange noise, we weren’t there but Hannah told us that she heard a strange noise that sounded a bit like air conditioning come on. She said it didn’t sound like air conditioning when it normally comes on. That must have set off your Misophonia; we’re giving you something that will help keep it under control.”
“When will I be able to leave the hospital per say?” Shannon said trying not to be overwhelmed.
“We just need to run a few more tests and then we should be done and you should be able to leave the hospital when you please. Every few weeks we’ll need you to check back with us so we can make sure you won’t ever pass out from that too many more times.”
