"Annabelle has goooooone missing!" Ace could be heard announcing cheerfully over the speakers. "What is wrong with those Winx girls?!" he hissed under his breath. "When they get back I'm gonna go fuuuuuull Ace on them!"
The cameras came back into his face and he plastered on a fake smile.
"Soooo.. let's hear Annabelle's performance aga-ga-gaaaaain!"
Robyn and the Winx split up as they patrolled the crowd, searching for any sign of Annabelle or the talent thief. While Robyn could see a few people with yellow hoodies, none had the familiar crocodile pattern on the back. The Winx froze as the cameras began to follow them again, and Robyn slipped away into the crowd to avoid them.
"Girls! Where's our star?! Where is Annabelle?!" Ace yelled, his face popping up on the big screen.
"We must find her at any cost!" Bloom urged under her breath.
Deep in a forest of shadows, Annabelle slowly came to, sitting up against a tree. Her head shot up as the shadow towered over her.
"Who are you?!" she gasped. "What do you want?!"
The girls searched the crowd throughly, but there was no sign of her. Eventually, the crowd dispersed and they had to stop for the night.
"Where could she be?" Flora fretted in distress.
The girls had gotten dressed for the night, and were all gathered in their beds.
"We will find her." Bloom said determinedly. "But for now we have to get some sleep. We'll need our full strength for protecting the other talents tomorrow."
The Winx all nodded in agreement, and Bloom turned out the lights. Robyn lay down, but she didn't close her eyes. In her world, so long as they had their Chosen Weapon, they didn't need sleep or food to survive. Most of the others slept anyways, because it was a good way to reset their minds for the next day. Robyn on the other hand would go out alone to train. Night was prime time for Nightmares after all, and tonight she had a different kind of nightmare to deal with. She waited patiently for the girls to fall asleep. Flora took the longest, she could hear her tossing and turning for several hours, and she felt her impatience growing.
Hurry up and go to sleep!
Finally, after what felt like several moons, Flora grew still, and Robyn sat up very slowly, her eavesdropping skill allowing her to listen to each individual girl. All was quiet as she slipped carefully into Stella's huge dressing room. She peered out behind the curtain to make sure she hadn't been followed.
Good.. I didn't wake them.. Now then..
She leaned against the wall and raised her hand, pulling the first two fingers in a downward motion, her logbook popping up with a faint chiming sound. Robyn tensed, listening out for the Winx. She relaxed as silence greeted her, and selected the equipment button, scrolling through until she found her new steampunk outfit. It was a long trench coat, open at the bottom where the fabric split in the back into three long triangle shapes. The edges were a dark green, with a dark green leaf pattern on the triangles. The bottom had black pants with combat boots that just reached her knees. Not only did it increase her hide skill when it was in use, but it had high defense, was light and easy to move in, and the boots almost completely muted her footsteps. She was surprised the Winx hadn't noticed her outfit was different from there's when she first appeared. She touched it lightly with her finger, and a white glow surrounded her body as her small dress and bare feet were replaced with a familiar warmth. Robyn smiled.
Its showtime.. Time to pay the WoW studios a little visit..
The WoW studios was surprisingly easy to infiltrate, especially when she didn't have to worry about cameras seeing her. Robyn roamed the halls stylishly, humming a certain impossible theme song in her head until she reached her destination: Annabelle's dressing room. The door closed softly behind her as she crept inside and looked around, scanning for cameras. At first, she was surprised to find none, then she scoffed to herself.
Of course there aren't any cameras! It's a dressing room!
Sighing, she lifted a hand and pulled up her logbook, sifting through her abilities until she found her search skill, touching it lightly. Normally, she could just activate it herself without the logbook, but if she wanted to search for someone specific, she could find their name inside. How long advanced search would last depended on her bond with the person.
We hardly talked so it's a long shot.. Robyn thought But it might just give me a clue at the very least..
She tapped the name lightly then moved her hand up, the logbook disappearing as a green glow took over her eyes. Immediately she could see green footprints on the ground, leading from the stool to..
..The middle of the room..? Robyn frowned as she walked over to the middle of the room, where the footprints ended, the prints fading as the skill wore off.
"But that makes no sense.." Robyn whispered. "She just vanished into thin air..? Just like that..?"
A quick snoop around the room brought no further clues, and with the night quickly slipping away, Robyn made her way back to the loft.
People don't just vanish into thin air.. she mused. Someone had to have taken her. Someone.. not human.
To her relief, no one seemed to have missed her as she crept back inside, changed into her night dress and lay down so she could pretend to sleep.
