As I look up at the unfamiliar building in front of me, I feel as if there is a huge weight on my chest pulling me towards the ground. I look up and hold my head high with confidence as I walk in. Right at the moment when I open the door, every pair of eyes in the room stare me down like lazars. I sit at a desk in the back corner of the room and sink almost all the way down in my seat hoping that no one sees me. At my old school in Virginia, I was very outgoing and I'm not exactly sure why I feel so empty here at Riverside High in California. All of a sudden I feel someone tap on my shoulder. I quickly look back and see a small girl with long, dirty blonde hair. She looks at me and asks me my name.
"I-I'm Jenny. Jenny Bennett"
I stutter. She looks back at me and says
"Hi Jenny! I'm Cassidy Wellings! Are you new here?"
"Yeah"
I answer in a hesitant tone of voice. I slowly turn back around in my seat as my teacher shoots a look at me and smiles from ear to ear.
"Hello everyone! It seems we have a new student with us today. Would you like to tell us a little something about yourself?"
I look around the room and say my name and the teacher says
"Well hi there! We are pleased to have you at our school"
