The sound of the wind blowing through the trees and the singing of the birds filled Erza's ears. 'It's strange considering that I'm supposed to be dead? Is this heaven?' Erza slowly tried to open her eyes, which was proving quite difficult. When she finally manage to open her eyes, she's greeted by the sun shining through the gaps of the large trees surrounding her, causing her to wince and immediately close her eyes again. Opening her eyes again they quickly adjust to the bright light.

"W-Where am I?" Erza groaned. After regaining her bearings Erza tried standing up, almost falling back down.

Finally able to stand up straight, her hazel coloured eyes surveyed her surroundings being greeted by numerous large trees that had grown so much that only a few rays of the sun escaped through the healthy green leaves and branches.

Erza concluded that she was in some type of forest, but what confused her more was how she got there. She could've sworn she died after the whole 'merging herself with the lacrima' thing that happened not only a few moments ago.

In fact, she was still in the same clothing from before, which was covered in dirt and rips from the battle. Deciding a new change of wardrobe was needed, Erza requipped her ruined outfit in exchange for her Heart Kreuz Armor, which consisted of metal plating on the top half of her body, gauntlets that reached to her elbows, a navy blue skirt and a pair of pitch black knee high combat boots, her long, shiny scarlet hair fluttering around behind and over her shoulders.

'You can't be too careful, especially in uncertain territory.' Feeling more comfortable she stated making her slow paced walk through the quiet and lushes greenery. Erza took the time to realise that although her clothes were in bad condition there didn't appear to be a scratch on her or any kind of pain for that matter.

"How strange..." Erza thought to herself. "It's unusually quiet for a forest, especially for such a nice and- assuming that it's not cloudy- sunny day. The only sound I can hear-..." Erza's silent talk with herself was suddenly cut off as a strange rumbling sound in the distance also caused her to stop in her tracks.

The sound appeared to becoming from both in front and behind her. The sound in front of her, which was much closer, sounded like multiple fast approaching hooves of horses hitting the ground, and the sound behind her sounding like giant pairs of feet hitting the ground, also fast approaching.

"What in Magnolia..." Erza whispered to herself deciding that the giant foot falls heading her way was much more concerning than the multiple horses.

Turning in the direction of the giant sounding feet, the sight that greeted her eyes was indeed a surprise. Multiple large, approximately 15 meters, humanoid creatures were running head on towards her direction, not showing any signs of slowing down. Erza's hazel eyes couldn't believe what she was seeing. Titans. Although it wasn't common to see giants in Fiore', what baffled her more were their expressions and their peculiar behaviour.

Unlike normal titans these seem to not have any intelligence whatsoever, and to top it all off, their movement appear to be all on instinct like a wild animal charging its prey. The expressions they wore were also quite disturbing some of them had wide smiles showcasing their large yellow teeth. Disgusting.

While lost in thought Erza didn't notice that one of the titans was only a few ways away but close enough to grab her much shorter figure, or the shouts from multiple people directed at her, to run away, from the previously mentioned horses. She only seemed to snap out of her stupor when the large hand was a few inches away from her, finally aware of her surroundings Erza quickly summoned one of her swords and sliced off the giant hand. At the same time a zipping noise came from behind and a green and brown blur flew behind the titan and slashed its nape. The titan fell to the ground after the fatal blow while steam erupted from the wound, temporarily obscuring the figure on top of the titan corpse.
