~Raelyn Arelais-Davis~

It's windy and relatively grey outside when Autumn, my half-sister, pulls up to our new house. A haven for my older half-siblings and younger full siblings from my parents.

My parents. I'd rather not think of them right now. They still haunt my thoughts anyways, unbanishable.

As Autumn backs into the driveway, I get a good look at the house. It's a simple, ivory coloured thing but looks big enough for us six siblings.

"Rae," my younger sister, Renae calls. She needs help unloading the trunk.

I hop out of the back of the van and grab some of the bigger boxes out of Renae's hands. She's two years younger than I am, at nine.

I'm holding one of the boxes when someone on the neighbour's driveway catches my eye. It's just a girl, about the same age as me. She has light brown hair and gorgeous emerald eyes. She just stares at me. I do the same.

"Marissa!" calls a voice towards the side of the green eyed girl's house.

The girl gives me the slightest whisper of a smile, and runs off.

I watch her brown hair disappear behind the house.

I see the same girl on the neighbour's driveway for the next five years.
