Chapter 4.
I was in my bedroom reading his past replies. I can't believe it but Carter and I were having these letters for already a week. I can't say if it made me happy that he doesn't know me. I won't be shy near him because of that but he won't know that I'm his "savior."
His latest letter said, " Thanks for all the help. You're really my savior. Ms. Vector thought I'm not lazy anymore because I can answer all the questions she left. I'm becoming more curious of who you are. Why can't you tell me?"
I can't admit who I am because I'm afraid that I'm not what he's expecting. What if he stops replying when he discovers? I can't risk that to happen, right?
I'm having a sleepover at Sadie's house. It's really good to have a new and first best friend, someone you can confide your secrets with.
We were sitting on the couch and having chit chat. It's already midnight but we're still awake.
"Do you think he's interested with me?" I asked Sadie.
"Well, I think so, He said he's curious, right? Maybe he's developing a feeling for you!" she replied enthusiastically.
"Don't make me expect. I'm having these pessimistic thoughts. What if I'm not good enough for him? I mean, he's the star player and I'm the nerd." I said, worried.
"Not good enough, you say? You're just the top in our whole batch! How can you even say that?" she comforted.
"But I'm not popular." You see, I'm really negative-minded.
"Still, you have an edge with the other girls. You talk to him through letters. The only thing is, he doesn't know who you are."
"What shall I do then?"
"You must admit that you're his savior. As soon as possible." she said, winking.
"You know I can't. I don't have the confidence." I told her.
"Gain it for you to win him. Do you want him to fall for Penelope? She's a flirt."
"No, of course! Uhmm.. You're right, I must have the courage to admit it. Tomorrow, at lunch time, I will approach him." I said, determined.
"Good for you! Let's sleep now, your problem's settled." she said sleepily.
"Thanks a ton, Sadie. Good night."
"Good night and good luck for tomorrow." she said then slept.
I'm so lucky to have this girl with me. :)))
