Soulmates Part 1

Fourth Grade

Layla had a friend or she thought she was her friend.Her name was Sara. One day her class was deciding on a class pet Layla, Dean and their friend Jacob were thinking of a hamster for the class pet. After that they thought of names like Fluffy Or Ham but then Jacob thought of Hammy which happened to be Sara's pet hamsters name that had just died.So Sara heard the name and immediately screamed at Layla.Dean defended Layla and said Jacob said that name and that Layla had nothing to do with it.Jacob apologized to Sara and said "We were just suggesting names for our new class pet." But of course Sara did not apologize she just gave Layla a dirty look and walked away. Sara would not talk to Layla day after day after day. Layla one day went up to Sara and said "Can you please apologize to me." Sara said "Why would I apologize to you if I did nothing wrong." "Yea you did, you yelled at me when I did nothing" Layla said. Sara ignored her and walked away. So the next day Layla told the vice principal on Sara and of course she dragged Dean with her to explain what happened. Dean explained while Layla was squeezing a stress ball. The vice principal called Sara in and they declared they were not friends anymore. Layla sadly had to leave to a new school and Dean couldn't come with her. She was devastated she thought she would never see her best friend again even though he lived ten minutes away.
It was fifth grade Layla was looking through her contacts to her phone and saw Sara's contact with a message that said (I know we have not talked in a while but I need a favor but first how have you been). Layla rolled her eyes and texted Sara , (Stop asking me how I am just tell me the favor.) Than Sara texted back (Well I said some dumb stuff to Ali when we were younger so I was just wondering if I could have her number.)  By the way Ali is one of Layla's friends. Layla texted back (First of all we are still young and second no I don't have her number.) Layla was lying why would she give Sara Ali's number. Then she texted Dean , (Should I block Sara.) Dean texted back and said (Yes). So she did, bye bye Sara.
