A few days pass and I see a human town. I tuck my ears under my hair and my tail into my clothes. Entering the city there are various stalls, I stop at one and buy a cloak. I book a room at an inn for three days. Finally fall into sweet blissful sleep. I wake in the late afternoon, my stomach growls. Heading downstairs for food, the sleep weighs over me, the stairs seem daunting. I get some food and eat it as fast as humanly possible. Some human sits at my table with her food.
"Damn you must have been hungry."
"Yeah" I chuckle. I go to get more food and then go and sit back down to eat. We eat in silence. My three days passes, and soon I'm on my way out of the city, the girl from breakfast catches up with me.
"Where you going?" She asks.
"Anywhere but here."
" Can I come?"
No, I travel alone." I get out of the city gates and disappear into the forest. I want to get as much distance between me and everyone as I can. The forest passes quickly. I run though the trees, like breathing, it's second nature to me. The rough terrane is almost easier than made roads to me. Besides no one can see me so I can run at full speed. Night falls, branches snap something is approaching. The girl from breakfast enters a nearby clearing. Cat ears protrude from her black hair, a thin wiry tail from her rear. She looks at me.
"I thought I smelt a fox." She says to my exposed ears and tail.
