Illusionary Mist - Zhou Sheng x Lin Yijun

Illusionary Mist

It's my first time writing and english isn't my first language so....there will be some mistakes. I hope it's readable and enjoyable at some point (o˘◡˘o).

My fanfiction takes place after the events of chapter 68 in the original novel.

Characters: Zhou Sheng x Lin Yijun. 

Warning: suicide attempt and dubcon.

In a demonic sect an angry male voice echoes through a luxurious room. "First the disciple of the Golden Sun Sect infiltrated and now Zhou Sheng is making a mess out of our plan?" The man walks around the room trying to find a solution."We need to fix this before they break all our connections."

From the direction of the bed a female voice answers the man's concerns. "Don't worry brother, lend me your ear, I have useful information". The voice is low like a murmur and doesn't show any trace of emotion even though it brings good news. 

"Talk already! I'm not in a good mood right now ". The demonic cultivator says as he approaches the bed. 

"Don't be so impatient, come...sit here". The girl pulls the man to sit on the edge of the bed, she hugs her brother's neck from behind, her face lines up with his revealing that they both have the same face, the only difference between them is that the man has a scar that crosses from his chin to his lips.

"A little bird told me that Zhou Sheng and Lin Yijun were good friends, and although the two parted on bad terms, Zhuo Sheng still has connections with the Golden Sun Sect, because as we can see they are helping him rescue our precious merchandise". As she talks her voice doesn't change like a lake without waves.

"Do you think Lin Yijun is helping Zhou Sheng under the covers?". Without waiting for her to answer, he continues, " What are you suggesting?".

"Isn't it obvious?". She whispers in his ear, if we catch one, we can catch both!". Finally a trace of excitement appears in her tone of voice.

"And if you are wrong and these two aren't together?".

"Well..at least one will fall through our hands". She gives her brother a kiss on the cheek and an evil smile appears on the man's face as he quietly chuckles.

Sitting in his quiet coutward Lin Yijun recalls Zhou Sheng's words.

"I'm disappointed in myself for not realising that you never considered me your friend at all."

For the first time Zhou Sheng said what he really thinks about him..and...it really hurts. Lin Yijun really thought he had a second life, a second chance to fix their future, to get things back on track, but no matter what he does nothing has actually changed.

"Go away, Lin Yijun" were the last words Zhou Sheng said to him.

Just thinking about these words makes him feel breathless, in fact, everything seems to have gotten worse. 

Lin Yijun closed his eyes to meditate but a person suddenly appeared in his mind, thinking about how a certain someone managed to change the fate of cultivator Sun Fuyu and the actions of Zhou Sheng his emotions become unstable and meditating becomes impossible.

"Wen Zhihao, you really are good at fixing things!." He says through gritted teeth.

Then amidst his confused thoughts and feelings a seed of doubt was born in his heart. "Why exactly am I alive? If I can't change anything...I should have stayed dead", this thought caught him by surprise, but he quickly swallowed these feelings and buried them deep down.
