Sang:
I looked up at Raven, he flashed me a smile and a sign- 5. I had five rounds. I nodded, turned back and picked it up. I sensed Raven standing behind me, just in case. I could do this. I just couldn’t look over at the guys or I would lose my nerve.
Raven:
Sang flew through her test, just like we all knew she would. I hadn’t even pulled the targets yet, and I could tell that a couple of guys on that team needed to step up their game. She put her new gun down- pink! a little overkill, but cute- and took a step to the right. Showtime, Птичка! She grinned up at me, I told her 5 rounds, and she picked up the Desert Eagle. I had two jobs in that moment. The first was to encourage and protect my student, so I took a step behind her and made sure she knew I was there in case anything went wrong. My second job was by far the more difficult, even for me, the Professional Russian- stand there and keep those idioty (идиоты )** from ruining this moment for their Baby Bird. Taylor and Korba started to take a step forward. I raised my hand and shook my head.
Silas:
I glanced from Sang to the target. My angel had done so well, but I knew she would from last week’s practice. The targets showed good placement. Movement caught my attention. What was she doing? She already took all of her shots. What was… that couldn’t be! Raven wouldn’t let her… she’s too small… Raven held up his hand. My arm shot out, reflex I was sure, to block North. Raven had a plan. He wouldn’t let her get hurt, right?
North:
Damn, look at that target! Sang Baby was a good shot. She ripped through that test like she was born to it. Hell, maybe she was. I started to take a step forward when I realized Raven hadn’t cleared the range. I look back at them just as she raised a new handgun off the bench. I saw red. There was no way in hell she was going to fire that fuckin’ thing! I was going to kill that damn Russian! Silas held me back, and something in the way Sang stood at the bench made me stop… Damn it! This wasn’t the first time she’d fired it. Shit!
Sean:
Pookie did it! It wasn’t like there was any doubt, but I was still so proud of her. There was always a little bit of me that worried about her safety. We all did, but my fears were a little different. It’s my job to fix what gets broken, and I die a little inside each time the guys brought her to me with a bruise or a cut. I realized that she couldn’t carry her new little pink gun with her all the time, but the confidence that this brought her would serve her well in the… what was she doing? She wouldn’t… oh, my, this was going to be good.
Kota:
She did so well. I couldn’t wait to get the targets and look them over. She may have done better than some of our team. That would be funny! Wait. What was she doing? What did she…No way. Raven wouldn’t let her. It wasn’t safe. Wait. He walked up behind her and… held out a hand in warning to us? Really?
Gabriel:
Trouble with a gun… I was so glad she knew how to handle one yet so terrified of her needing to know how to handle one because of the problems that gravitate toward her. Funny that… little bitty thing, HUGE mischief gravity well… like a black hole for… Oh, HELL NO!!! She isn’t… He wouldn’t… She is SO fucking grounded it isn’t even funny…
Nathan:
Now that the test was over, I was double checking what I could see of Peanut’s groupings when Gabe elbowed me. I looked at him, but he was staring at where Sang was standing. Oh, no! What happened to… But she was fine, standing there, about to fire another gun? Holy Shit!
