Ella was crying, whimpering thinking about her dad and her abusive sort of ex as she sat on these steps, her head in her hands.

It was when the other person sniffled that she realised someone else was there

Ella looked over to see Cal sitting on a lounge chair staring into the sky "cal?" She called out

"Oh Ella? I didn't wanna disturb you, are you okay?" He got up and sat next to Ella on the steps

"Yeh I'm fine, why are you here?" She asked

"Why're you crying Ella, what's wrong?" Freezy ignored her question

"I'm just thinking that's all" she replied

"Okay, me too" she could see freezy had tears in his eyes and his face was stained with tears

"Have you been crying cal?" She was concerned

"Uh yeh" freezy laughed a little embarrassed "nothing to worry about though"

"You can talk to me" Ella smiled

"My girls just ended things with me" he just came out with it, taking Ella back

"You have a girlfriend?" Ella asked

"I did yeh, three years we were together and she just ended it because she's met someone else" he sniffled a little and wiped his eyes

"Shit cal I'm so sorry" Ella placed a hand on his shoulder and pulled him into a hug "you'll be okay though, you've got your friends"

"And you, you're a friend now too Ella, stop excluding yourself yeh?" Cal mumbled as he was leaned into Ella

Ella should feel cal crying and it broke her heart, seeing someone who is usually the life of the party upset and alone broke her heart.

"You wanna tell me about her?" Ella asked rubbing Cals back

"Sure, uh her name is Lucy, she used to live with the sidemen years ago, she's actually Simons sister ya know, she's short, got blonde wavy hair, she was best mates with Tobi but one day she just left the house and never spoke to them anymore, she moved into a flat alone but kept in contact with me, I think something happened with her and Simon because he never mentions her anymore, it's been a year or so since she left the lads, I could see it broke Simons heart, she never came to my flat because Harry's there. I don't know why or what happened and then I've came on this holiday and she's met someone else" cal spoke through a quiet cry as he explained the story of his ex Lucy.

"Shit cal, that's weird and so shit, I'm so sorry. It seems like it might be for the best ya know, if she isn't speaking to your mates anymore because of something and she was keeping stuff from you if you get me?" Ella replied

"She kept a lot from me after she moved out, she barely wanted to see me, I think she honestly might've cheated on me el, she just changed into a different person one day, like something inside her flipped" he sat up this time and spoke

"I don't know what I done to her for her to just flip like that, but you might be right ya know, thank you. I never got to speak about her to the lads because of Simon, afraid I'd get shut down or something" cal smiled

"That's understandable, well maybe let them know yous have ended then? Things might be different now between you all but a good different if you get me?" Ella smiled

"Yeah, thank you Ella" he gave Ella a hug "you wanna tell me why you're here crying too?" He asked

"Uhh Harry and I went into the sea and it reminded me of my dad, he drowned when I was 14 and I hadn't been in the sea since, then he asked why I moved away and it brought back memories of my abusive ex but I'm mainly crying because I miss my dad" Ella put her head down wiping tears from her eyes

"Shit el, I'm so sorry, your ex is a cunt and not to be spoken about but you're dad, Ella I'm so sorry, it looks like he meant a lot to you" cal pulled Ella into a hug

"He was my best friend" Ella sniffled

"Mines too" cal squeezed Ella

"Thank you" Ella whispered

"Thank you too" cal laughed "let's head to bed it's like 3am" cal giggled lifting Ella up by the hand

"Goodnight freezy" Ella smiled
"Goodnight Ella" cal whispered before heading into his room

Ella entered her room to see that the bed had two people in it; Talia and Simon, both fast asleep. "Fuck" Ella whispered

Ella grabbed her pyjamas and got charged, she grabbed a blanket and headed down into the kitchen to sleep on the couch

She was met by Harry once again

"We need to stop bumping into each other here" Ella laughed

"We do, why're you here?" Harry asked

"Simons in my bed" Ella giggled sitting down on the couch.

"Come sleep in mine, me and cal don't share a bed" Harry smiled

"You sure cal won't mind?"

"Nah he won't care, cmon"

Ella followed Harry into his room and got comfy in his bed, he pulled Ella close into a hug "Goodnight" he whispered

"Goodnight"

They both fell asleep instantly wrapped in each others arms

Just as they were almost asleep cal shouted "ha i knew it, you two are a thing" he laughed

"Leave it freezy, she's not got a bed, Simons in hers" Harry spat back

"Yeh yeh, whatever goodnight lovers" freezy laughed before turning round and going to sleep

"Goodnight" Ella and Harry said in unison

It made ella laugh a little knowing that cal was back to being an idiot already after breaking his heart to her 20 minutes prior
