chapter four

"your smile..." chan looks at him.

felix's smile goes away and he looks away from him.

"hey come on your smile is so pretty... don't hide it"

"just come on, the bell's gonna ring soon" felix gets up and goes back into the canteen to grab his backpack.

"the rom com is going as planned!" jisung says to felix.

"you need a life" felix leaves the canteen again and the bell rings.

...

"felix! the door!" minho looks at felix who's literally sitting near him.

"you can't get it yourself?"

"nah I'm busy hanging out with jisung" minho says and felix rolls his eyes.

felix opens the door and he gasps when he sees chan appearing at the doorway.

"what are you doing here?"

"just stopping by to say hi" chan smiles while felix rolls his eyes.

"well you said hi, now go"

"can't I come in?"

"no"

"but I wanna see your house"

"no"

"you got mr. rich kid to be your friend?" minho looks at him.

"you're felix's brother minho right?" minho nods.

"the plot thickens! now he's meeting the brother" jisung says.

"can I come in?" chan asks again.

"I said no"

"just let him in so y'all can shut up" minho says.

chan pushes the door open and felix sighs as he comes in.

he looks around to see the atmosphere is different from his house, obviously since he's rich while felix is not.

"okay you saw it, now go" felix points to the door for chan to leave.

"I didn't see the whole place yet" chan looks at him.

"tsh this is pointless" felix slams the door shut and goes to his room.

"why is he so angry?" minho asks.

"he doesn't like chan, but chan likes him and they have a bet that chan can't make him fall for him in a month, if felix wins he gets 200,000 KRW and chan will leave him alone forever" jisung says.

"ohhh how interesting"

"I know right?" they both look at chan.

"I think because you're rich and we're poor he didn't want you to see the house and feel sorry for him" minho says.

"really?" minho nods.

"I mean this house is small, you're house is probably huge so yeah of course he'll think that" he adds.

"where is his room?" chan asks.

"in the hallway the first one on the right" chan listens to minho's directions and he sees a wooden door that was shut, chan knocks but there's no response.

when he knocks again, felix opens it.

"what"

"you know... your house is better than mine"

"what did you just say? how the hell is that possible, you're rich for crying out loud"

"yeah but I wish I wasn't" chan sighs.

"yeah sure and I love being poor" felix closes the door in chan's face.

"can't I see your room?" chan says through the closed door.

"no! go home!" felix yells.

chan chuckles and then decides to just open the door himself.

"hey! I said go home!" felix tries to push him out, but chan doesn't budge.

"come on just let me see your room" chan looks around while felix sighs and sits on his bed with his arms crossed.

"your room is so cute"

"'cute'?"

"yes, it's small and has a boho chic vibe"

"not everyone can have a house that is big and shiny"

"I'm not against it, I like it"

"yeah sure" he rolls his eyes.

"I do, like I said I wish I wasn't rich. I hate having that title, I've always had fake friends and relationships because of it. all they want is my family's money... which is why I like you"

"huh?"

"you never used me for my money, you're like the only one and jisung too. and... you never judged me for it"

"well... I find it pointless to use people for money, it's their own faults they don't have jobs and can't make money themselves"

"do you wanna... come to my house?" chan looks at felix.
