"You'll be okay if I leave you alone, right?" Jimin asked as he got up to leave the hospital room. "Actually, I was wondering if you could help me with the drip. It's kind of uncomfortable" Joshua pointed out to the tube attached to him.
Jimin nodded before going to fix it for him but instead of being helpful, he tripped over the stand and fell on top of the slightly younger boy. "Ow" Joshua gave a delayed response when Jimin peered up at him.
"I'm sorry!" Joshua shrugged with a mischievous grin on his face. "You have to do more than that for me to forgive you" Jimin had a frown on his face as he sat up to face Joshua.
"I barely hurt you but fine, what do I have to do?" He huffed, making Joshua take Jimin's hand in his. "You can go on a date with me" Jimin's eyes widened as his face turned a deep shade of pink.
"Josh, your chemotherapy is over for today. You can go now" another nurse informed from the doorway, ruining the moment between the two. "Thank you, I'll get going now" Joshua smiled at her as he let Jimin remove his IV line.
"How about the date now?" Joshua asked a flustered Jimin, who excused himself to walk out of the room swiftly. Joshua smiled sadly as he gathered his things and got ready to leave.
"I guess he doesn't feel the same" Joshua said to himself and went to open the door when a hand fell on his shoulder, followed by laboured breaths. "I got off my shift earlier. Sorry for leaving you without an answer" Jimin gasped for air while gripping onto Joshua's shoulder.
"Did you run here?" Jimin gave a shy nod before looking away. Joshua was more than content with the response he got and laced Jimin's fingers with his own.
