Night has fell in the city of Hope. Ashley let the two women sleep the night in one of the spare bedrooms. All the animals in their vehicle houses fast asleep as well. Ashley was the only one wide awake as she laid in her bed staring up at the ceiling. Thoughts raced through her mind.
What's going to happen next? How long are they going to stay?
Ashley kept still looking up until the sound of knocking on her door. She always kept it open just in case any of the animals needs to sleep in her room(mainly Cupcake) if a bad dream occurs. She looked up to see the blonde haired women speaking in.
"Oh hi" Ashley softly spoke
"Hey" Elsa spoke quietly and softly as well. She takes a few short steps forward into the room, "mind if I come in?"
Ashley doesn't say anything as she just nods her head and sits up. Elsa walks forward and sits down beside her.
"Look...I know this is hard.." she begun
"Yeah. I still can't really believe-"
"You don't have to." Elsa sighed "I wouldn't blame you. You were very very young so you wouldn't remember anything...."
The room kept silent. The air conditioning unit the only sound kicking on. The sound of utter silence is very awkward to her. She had to start up a conversation. But as she opened her mouth, the sound of her phone ringing.
Ashley looked up at the blonde, "I have to take this"
Elsa nodded and walked out of the room.
Ashley picked up her phone to answer the late night phone call, "hello this is Ashley"
"Ashley! This is the Nature Preserve Center Sheriff! There's a major issue going on"
Hearing this, she sat up in alert, "what's wrong?" This is where Ashley found Rocket injured, and an infant chick. "Are all the animals injured?"
The man on the screen shook his head, "no. It's been so hot for a couple days that at night, during the night it dosen't cool off at all for the habitats. Fire begun to spark and all the animals scattered. I tried to get them evacuated but they're too frightened!"
"Don't worry! We're on the way!" Ashley called out before hanging up and summoning her team. "Animal Patrol! Time for a Nature, Fire Rescue!"
Quickly, Ashley stood up putting on her special fire uniform with rubber black boots. Dashing to the mission control center, passing Elsa and a tired- waking up Anna, waiting for her team. The two followed the young girl with curiosity and confusion.
Ashley noticed the two following her into the room, "What are you two doing here?"
"Just seeing what's going on" Elsa said as Anna rubbed the tiredness out of her eyes
"What's with the rushing and cool new outfit?" Anna asked now fully awake
"Got a troubled Nature Preserve" Ashley just said before the team rushes into the room to their assigned spots, in their special uniforms. The two adults moved to the side respecting the situation.
"Animal Patrol Ready for Duty Ashley ma'am!" Vanilla saluted in a booming voice
Ashley nodded, "thanks for huring this late in the night Animals. We have to work quickly on this one. I got a call that the Nature Preserve Center is on fire and that all the animals there scattered frightened by the flames"
The blue jay gasped in horror, "My family is there!!"
Ashley shook her head attempting to calm down the bird, "don't worry Rocket, we'll get all the animals including your family out safely"
"Oh my" Elsa said quietly to herself worried
The teenager girl contuined out the assignment. She activated the mission big screen with a push of a button on the dashboard. "I'll need many of you for this mission..we need to control the fire, find all the animals and get them all out safely, then clean up the area and pulling things away from the burnt area so no more catches on fire."
The girl clicked on multiple badge tag icons on her phone and it showed up on the big screen, "Shimmer, Jabber. Cupcake, Cotton tail, Vanilla and Stripes. I'll need all of ya'lls help on this. Shimmer; I need you to survey the area and watch out for anything from the skies. Inculding finding the runaway animals. Vanilla; I need your help with keeping the preserve closed and keep people and others away from the center. Jabber; use your fire safety know how and put the fires out. Cupcake; use any re-cycled stuff that you have at the back of your truck and help protect parts of the center that hasn't been affected. Cottontail; help Jabber put out the flames by putting dirt on them, it may not put them out completely, but enough to where we can control them and so it won't give Jabber a huge project...and last but not least..Stripes. Our Nature Expert."
The Bengal Tiger nodded sitting up proudly. "With your nature know hows, find the animals that can be hiding well. Shimmer will help you with birds and smaller animals. Use your knowledge Facts about each animal you know and help them calm down to evacuate the center."
After Ashley gave the instructions for each Animal that was picked for the rescue mission, they all nodded, then said their picked catchphrases.
"Let's ROAR to Action!" Stripes roared
"Recycling keeps the world green!" Cupcake barked
"This Pegasus is ready for anything!" Vanilla neigh
"With these wings, I'll take to the skies!" Shimmer said happily
"I'm on the hopping double!" Cottontail purred
"When there's fire's around, I'll be them to put them out!" Jabber squaked
Anna clapped amazed, "wow cool catchphrases!" She looked over at Elsa who was also amazed and nodding her head impressed.
The light blue spotted dalmatian chuckled, "thanks"
The still distressed blue jay chirped, "what about me Ashley? My family are there!"
The girl nodded scrolling towards Rocket's badge, "I wasn't going to forget about you buddy. You'll go into the Center and get your family out safely. Then once done, you can help Shimmer and Stripes by getting all the other birds out."
The blue jay flapped his wings happily, "let's do this!" He chirped
"Alright! Animal Patrol is on a roll!" Ashley said before running through the electrical doubles doors to her ATV. But as she hopped onto her vehicle, two more hopped on as well. Turning behind her were her presumed two older sisters.
"...ummm...what are you doing?" The girl asked unsure
"We're coming along" Anna smiled, "just wanting to observe what you've been doing all these years" she was joyfully perky
"Umm...I--I'm not sure..this is a pretty dangerous mission" Ashley said looking at the two
"You won't know we're here. We won't get in the way." Elsa grinned
The leader sighed shrugging. 'Do they have to be this ignorant ?' She thought.
"Okay. If you say so. Just hold on tight, we have to go pretty fast on the streets" she said revving her ATV as the garage opened
Anna was the one that was right behind Ashley, with Elsa being on the very back of the vehicle. "Got it" Anna nodded
The ATV droved right out of the garage joining the other seven. The group headed off towards the Nature Preserve Center at 55 mph on the main road.
"Shimmer find a short cut road to the center" Ashley said into her communicator
"On it!" Shimmer said above in her helicopter
