Life in Equestria

Chapter Three

"Dear Princess Solaria, I am sorry I have not wrote to you in a few days. I sould really make a scedule. And we should meet up again sometime. Scincerly, Sketchy Sculpture." I said. I then sent the letter, and went back inside. "Where did you go?" Alternate and Fluttershy asked. "Just to send a letter to somepony." I replied with a smile. "So Fluttershy. What have you been up too while we were away?" Alternate asked. "Nothing much. What about you?" She asked. "Same as you. But my other form, Magic got a job." He replied with a smile. "A job? What job is it?" She asked. "A magic teacher. I well, he has been teaching other fillies and colts how to cast magical spells. I got back from the first day today, and I bought home 30 bits." He replied. "Oh wow." Fluttershy exclaimed. "It begins at 8:00am, and ends at 11:30am." I said reminding him at what time it started and ended. "Yes. Thank you Sketchy." He replied. "We have also decided to take walks when I get home, or have the day off." He added. "Oh. Can I join you?" Fluttershy asked. "Sure. The more the marrier." Alternate said smiling. "I like to go on walks sometimes." Fluttershy said. "But your a pegasus. You should be up in the clouds." I said. "Well, back when I was a filly, I fell off the clouds. I couldnt fly at the time so I was almost doomed. But before I hit the ground, a large group of butterflies caught me. Thank Celestia they did, or I would not have survived. I have been down here ever since." She said. "Do you ever go back?" Alternate asked. "Sometimes I do. But I prefur to stay down here with all these woodland creatures." She said whistling. "Why are you-" I was cut off by all the birds that just landed on her. "Wow. They must really like you." I said seeing how many birds were all over her. "Oh they do." She replied. "Why do you take care of them?" I asked. 

"Because they wouldnt be able to take care of themsleves. All sad and alone." She said. One of the many birds nuzzling her with affection. She nuzzled back. "You really do like taking care of them dont you?" Alternate asked. "Oh yes. My home is a place of saftey for these cute creatures." She replied letting the birds go. "Well, Im going to go. Good bye." I said turning to leave. "I'll stay here with Fluttershy." Alternate replied. "Alright. Bye you two." I sad opening the door. "Bye." Alternate and Fluttershy said in unison. I then walked out. They were busy chortling together. I closed the door, and started to walk. "Where should I go?" I asked my self. "I'll go see Derpy." I finally said. Once again to my slef. I then started to walk towards the everfree forest.  I then saw a house in the forest. "That must be her house." I said to myslef. "Then again, it is the only house in this forest. I wonder why everypony avoids it..." I said wondering. I knocked on the door. It opened, and a light purple unicorn filly. "Hello there." I said. "Mommy. Someponies at the door." She called out. Derpy came to the door. "Sketchy. Nice to see you again." She said smiling. "Come on in." Derpy replied. I gladly accepted the invite, and walked in. "Thank you Derpy." I said the filly closed the door behind me. "Your welcome." She replied. "Hi." The filly said.

"Whats your name?" I asked. "Dinkey. Dinkey hooves." She replied. "Thats a great name." I said. "Thanks." She replied. "I didnt know you had a daughter." I said. "Isnt she cute?" Derpy asked. "Yes. She is cute." I said rubbing her head. "Thanks." Dinkey giggled. "Do you two want some muffins?" Derpy asked. "Yes." We both said. "OK. I'll be right back." Derpy aid flying off to the kitchen. "So Dinkey. Have you been learning magic?" I asked. "Yes. But I have a condition called horn inverses." She replied. "Whats that?" I asked. Not knowing what the condition was. "I learn spells clockwise instead of counter clockwise. All spells are written counter clockwise." She replied. "Do you want to learn a spell?" I asked. "Sure. I can try." Dinkey replied. "OK. The spell you will be learning will be teleportation." I said. "Yay!" She exclaimed jumping for joy. "Alright. Its simple. All you have to do, is think about the next place you want to be, and your there!" I said. "I'll go to the other side of the room, and you try to teleport to me." I said walking to another part of the room. "Alright. Lets see if I can do this..." Dinkey said. She closed her eyes, and concentrated on my side. I looked to the kitchen entrance, and Derpy was coming back with a tray of muffins. She set it on the table. I then heard a poof, and she was gone. "Did she just-" Derpy was cut off by Dinkey teleporting at my side. "Teleport? Yes." I finished her scentence. "Great job Dinkey!" Derpy, and I said in unison. "Yay! I did it!" She said very exited. "I bought lots of muffins." Derpy said. My stomach growled. So I grabbed a muffin, and started eating. When Dinkey and I finished, there were two muufins left out of a ten muffin tray. Derpy ate the rest. "Thank you mommy." Dinkey said. "Thank you." I added. "Your welcome." Derpy said smiling. She then went to go put the tray in the sink. "Thank you Sketchy." Dinkey said hugging me.
