"We can't let some amateur private eye handle this." said this weird Minoura guy. I rolled my eyes as I heard some guys yell something.
"The nets caught something!!"
"What's that's?" Atsushi asks. They start pulling the rope up as I start to notice that they have caught........oh lord. The workers start yelling "ITS A MAN!!" I walk closer to the rope to see who it could be although I already have a slight hint... Minoura starts saying "Could there be a second victim?!" Everyone else starts running towards the rope. The rope has fully been pulled revealing that the man they had caught was...the one and only my dumba$$ brother. I put on my pissed off face and I grab the rope releasing Dazai throwing him on the ground. "Heyyyy Misakiiiii-" Says Dazai with his Please dont be mad and kill me look on his face. I grab him by the collar and give him a slight slap on the face. "ANOTHER DROWING ATTEMPT?!" both me and Atsushi say in sync. "Haha what a strange coincidenc-"
"Do I really have to keep you on a leash just for you to not try and kill yourself?!" "Actually that isn't necessar-"
"Stop talking I'm mad at you okay?!"
"Sisssss I'm sorrryyyyyy-"
"Tch whatever..."
"You need to learn how to control your suicidal freak of a brother Misaki if you want to continue helping us."
"And you have to learn how to control you mouth! Last time I checked I've help solve MULTIPLE cases along with Ranpo and you wouldn't want to lose one of the best people helping you right..?"
Minoura looks at me kind of shocked "P-pardon for my choice of words ma'am."
"That's what I thought. Thank you."
Dazai proceeded to ask a question. "What are you guys doing here anyways..?"
"We are working on a case." Ranpo answered.
"What kind...?"
Atsushi, Ranpo, and I walk towards the body.

"Wh-wh-wh-wh- what a tragedy.. such a poor young beautiful lady...Sorrow is crushing my heart..!!! She may as well committed double suicide with meeee!!!"
"It's not the time for this Dazai-" I say looking at him ticked off.
"But rest in peace, milady" "Two extraordinary great detectives will avenge you" Dazai said dramatically "Right Ranpo-san and Misaki?" He asked us while turning around to look at us
"But we have yet to get the job itself" Ranpo answered Dazais question "Why?" "I don't know ask this man" I said and pointed at Minoura
'Dazai really wants me to get even more mad at him' "We have no need for private investigator" " In fact, all of subordinates are far superior to any private detectives" Minoura said with his eyes closed "Oh?" Ranpo then turned around and pointed at of cop "What's your name?" He asked "What?" "I am sergeant Sugimura, the victim Ms. Yamagiwa, was my senior colleague!" He responded "Alright, Sugimoto-kun" Ranpo put his hand on Sugimura's shoulder "Solve this case in sixty seconds starting now"
'Oh no' I thought to myself "What?" He said, looking worried "I can solve it in under a minute" "If you're as good as he says you are, you should be able to do the same" Ranpo said and look at Minoura 'Oh god, Ranpo why must you do this right now?' I sighed " Okay, give it a try, Sugimoto-kun!" And look back to Sugimoto "What?!" "Um, okay, well.." "Sixty seconds is a bit over the top, isn't it?!" He said while panicking "Okay, fifty seconds left" I said while at my phone "What?!" I truned around and see Atsushi looking worried
"Oh, right" "Yamagiwa-senpai was pursuing a political corruption case and also investigating the Port Mafia" He said "I believe the murder's M.O. is similar to the mafia's method of exacting retribution" "Maybe she was killed by the mafia members she was investigating--" "That's not true" Dazais suddenly said "What?" Sugimoto asked "The Port Mafia's retaliatory method's are as highly specific as a government+ as a issued ID." He said
"First, the traitor is made to bite the curb, then they are kicked in the of the head to shatter his jaw." "As their victim wristlets in agony, they flip them over"
"Then shoot him in the chest three times" "That sounds really brutal" I said looking at Dazai "If we're being precise, yes, but..." "So this M.O. is similar to the Mafia's but no the same" "that means..." Dazai then looked up "An attempt at a cover-up" said Minoura.
"Shooting two extra rounds into the body just for that? How cruel" said Sugimoto "Beep!" Said Ranpo, scaring Sugimoto "Okay, time's up!" "Too bad, you've got a ways to go before you reach my level, at least this proved that your subordinates are not all superior to us" he said "Cut the crap!" Said Minoura "You've been going on and on about deduction and great detectives" "You've been reading too much pulp fiction!" "Cases are solved by through investigations, analysing the scene of the crime." He explained
"We know that" then I walked up towards him "When are you going to get it through your thick skull?" "Great detectives don't do 'Investigations'" "Ranpo's ability, Ultra-deduction, can instantly identify the killer and when and how the murder was committed." I explained to him "He can see in his mind's eye how he can make the killer confess, and where the evidence lies, as if it's and epiphany" "I am gifted, after all" Ranpo said, standing beside me "Given my line of work, I know about the gifted's existence," "But if You have such convenient ability, why do my colleagues and I still have a job?" "Good question, sir" I stated "Right on! You finally caught up." Ranpo said while pointing at Minoura.
"You bastards" 'He looks pissed' then my brother stepped infront of us "Now, Now, Detective," "Ranpo-san and Misaki's is always like this" 'Don't know if it was a compliment or something'
"After all, my personal motto is, All's well that's well for me!" He said out loud
