The next day
I was awoken by my pager and I jumped out of the on call room bed. I hit my head on the bottom of the top bunk and it hurt.
I was being paged to the pediatrics floor and when I got there guess who I saw. Dr. Sunshine, acting all bright and happy.
"What do we have?" I asked.
"This little guy took a baseball to the head during practice, right Chase?" She bent down to get to the little boys level.
He nodded, "Alright, Schmitt take him to CT and page me when the results come up." I ordered.
"How was your date?" Robbins asked me.
"Not a date, already told you that. Besides that it was fun, blondie." I chuckled at my own joke.
"Blondie? Can I not get a better nickname?" She laughed at the joke too.
"Would you rather Dr. Sunshine?" I giggled and I began to walk away down the hall.
I saw her stop and grin. I could just tell she was thinking about what to do next.
Arizona grabbed me by my hair and pulled me back into the room and got close to me. I could smell the lavender perfume projecting off of her skin.
She pushed me up a wall and we stared into each others eyes and we both leaned in for a kiss until I pulled away before we locked lips and remembered what Amelia had told me last night.
"I better get going on those CT scans." I gave her a seductive look and walked away.

When I got home from work it was still pretty early and I was lonely, so I invited Amelia over to watch a movie.
When she arrived I set aside a few snacks and candies on the coffee table for us to eat while we were watching the movie.
I couldn't help but think about Arizona the whole time. My mind filled with questions about what the real problem was between Arizona and Amelia, but I didn't want to be rude and ask since it was none of my business.
I kept staring off into space during the film and thinking about Arizona and how her lavender perfume filled the air and her soft blonde hair touched my face.
After the movie Amelia was helping me clean up all of the snack bowls we had eaten, "Ames, I have to ask you something." I said eagerly.
"What's up?" She looked up at me and smiled.
"What exactly happened between you and Arizona?" I asked hesitantly.
Her smiled slowly faded, "Just a miscommunication, that's all." She put the bowls in the sink.
"Sorry for asking. It's just... Arizona has a thing for me I think. And she's hot, but I don't want to do anything to her or with her if you guys had something in the past. That's all." As soon as those words came out of my mouth I wish they hadn't.
"Don't worry about it. You can do whatever you want with her, it doesn't bother me." She smiled, but I could tell she didn't mean it.
-
Last night was pretty awkward with Amelia so I wasn't exactly looking forward to seeing her at work today.
"Have you seen Mer?" Maggie said as she approached me.
"Nope. Why?" I asked and Maggie gave me a coffee she picked up for me.
"Her and Amelia were fighting all last night when she came home from your place." Maggie looked around the lobby to try to spot either of them.
My pager beeped, "I have to go, I'll page you if I see them." I gulped down my coffee while running to my patients room.
"What happened?" I asked Edwards.
"She started seizing, she's been seizing for about a minute, and she isn't stopping." Edwards said in a panicked voice.
"Well what do you do now, Edwards?" I said in a confident voice, but when I turned to her she looked afraid, like a little kid.
"I don't know..." She said in a quiet voice.
"What did you say?" I asked but she looked unsure.
"I said I don't know, I'm sorry Dr. Parker." The way she said it angered me, and it was like I couldn't control my rage.
-
"Take care of this consult for me, I'll make it up to you." Amelia said as she handed me the tablet and walked down the hallway.
"I- uh..." I couldn't even say anything because she got on the elevator and the doors began to close.
I glanced at the tablet and saw I had a consult to do in peds, which I never look forward to. Peds is my least favorite specialty, because the last thing anyone wants to witness is a bunch of sick kids.
This was my last consult of the day and afterwards I'm going home and straight to bed because this felt like the longest shift of my entire life.
When I got into the patients room I greeted the parents and the kid, and to be completely honest, I'm not the best with kids but I still tried to make him feel comfortable.
I checked his pupils and decided that he seemed fine and that I just wanted a CT scan to make sure he was okay.
"Brandon, Dr. Wilson here if just going to take you up to the CT room to make sure everything is all good in your brain, okay?" I bent down so we were on the same level.
He happily nodded and Wilson took wheeled him out of the room.
"You should've gone into peds." I turned around to see Arizona.
"You were here the whole time?" I asked.
"No, but I came in to check on him and I saw you here so I decided to stick around." She gave that perky smile that she always gives.
"Obsessed. You're obsessed. Admit it." I laughed as I gathered my things to go check on scans.
Arizona stepped closer, "Maybe I am. We'll find out during our date tomorrow night." She bit her lower lip.
"Is this your way of asking me out? Because if it is, you really need to up your game." I said as I looked into her ocean blue eyes.
"I have more game, but I save those for lesbians, not for straight girls who aren't out yet." She gave me a wink.
"I'm out, just not lesbian..." I lied. I wasn't out, I didn't even know what I was.
"Well in that case..." Arizona came over and kissed me, her lavender perfume was pressed all over me and she swirled her tongue in my mouth.
"Arizona... I-I can't..." I looked up at her still trying to catch my breath from the kiss.
"What do you mean?" She looked confused.
"Amelia is my best friend..." Instant regret filled my body.
