Sykkuno's First Day

First day of college! I get up and put on a t-shirt and jeans. I feed Bimbus and head out. I drive to the campus, orientation is at 8 but I decided to be early. When I arrive there's alot of people there. I'm not good with crowds so I sit under a tree alone.

Maybe a few minutes pass then I see a familiar face. It's that guy from the doctor's office. He looks super anxious so I do something bold. I walk over and say hi.

"Hey I've seen you before."

"Oh, hey. What are you doing here?"

I laugh a little, "well I'm here for the orientation obviously."

"Oh, yeah. Sorry so am I."

"Heh, it's alright. I'm Sykkuno by the way."

"Hi Sykkuno, Im Corpse. Umm.. Why'd you come over to talk to me."

"Well you looked anxious so I thought I'd say hi. I get anxious in crowds too."

"Oh. Well thanks people don't usually talk to me." That's sad.

"OK LISTEN UP!! YOU WILL BE GETTING YOUR SCHEDULE SOON WHEN YOU GET YOUR SCHEDULE YOU CAN FIND ONE PARTNER FOR YOUR TOUR AND WAIT FOR YOUR GUIDE." Someone yelled into a megaphone that was annoyingly loud.

"Oh that's loud! Well I should get my schedule. Do you want to be partners?" I like Corpse he seems pretty cool.

"Sure but there's alot of people, where can we meet up at after?"

"You see that tree over there?" I point to the tree I was at and he nods. "We can meet up there." He agrees and I run off to my table, they're in alphabetical order. I got my schedule and went to the tree.

After a few minutes I see Corpse show up and we wait for the guide.

He suddenly asks, "So why were you at the doctor? Um if you don't mind me asking."

"Heh, It's a bit embarrassing."

"Well it can't be as bad as burning your own hand with you powers." He holds up his bandaged hand.

I giggle a little at that, "Well I got my power REALLY late."

"Oh, well that tops my burnt hand. At least you have it now." He laughed. His laugh is really cute.

Someone walks over and says hi.

"Hi." I smile.

"Hello." Corpse says he sounds different now, more tense.

"Im Toast, im a junior here and I'll be giving you a tour."

"Cool, Im Sykkuno, where are we going first?"

"Well I assume you both got your schedules?" I nod and look at my paper.

2:00 P6:Careers Moving Forward

"Sounds good, my first class is controling under pressure?" Weird.

"Ah the C.U.P. class, follow me." We tour the school then go to the dorms.

"Ok so Building A is for all the freshman. Building B is for Sophomore, and junior. Building C is for junior and senior." Toast explains to us as we walk over to what I assume is building A.

"Ok so what's the number next to your name on your paper?" I look at my paper, "Um.. A225?" Is that the number?

"Yes that's the one. So you're in building A on the second floor. Number 225 should be on your door. Do you want to go and see your room?"

"Sure!" I wonder what room Corpse is in. He looks over at him.

"Oh and what was your name.."

"Corpse." He still sounds uncomfortable.

"Corpse, what's your room number?"

He looks away before answering, "It's also A225." Why'd he hesitate? Does he not like me? I've been very talkative so maybe, I'm annoying him?

We go up the elevator and walk to 225. Toast opens the door and I'm immediately awe struck.

"There's a shared common room here, one bedroom over there, one across from it, and a shared bathroom."

"Cool!" I run in the room and look at the bedrooms one has two windows, and one has none. They both have a bed a desk a dresser and a nightstand with a lamp. Corpse walks in and I can tell he likes the room with no windows. I like the natural light so that works.

"So are you guys good with the tour or do you want to look around more?" Im pretty tired so I flop onto the couch which made corpse laugh.

"Im good."

"Im good too."

"Ok, I have a few more things to tell you, and then you're good. First, once you get your student ID it will be programmed to the lock on your door. Second, you can't get food at the cafeteria or login on the computers until you get your ID. You should have it by tomorrow or the next day."
"That's all but I wanted to ask you guys something." I look at him in confusion. "You guys both seem pretty cool, do you wanna hangout tomorrow and meet my friends?"

"Yeah that'd be nice!" I'd like to have more friends.

"Um.. I guess?" Corpse looks even more uncomfortable.

"You don't have to I just thought I'd ask." Wow Toast seems nice too.

"Will there be drinks?" Oh? Corpse drinks?

"Yeah, it's college tradition!" Well I didn't know that.

"Then YES." He seems enthusiastic. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster.

"I'm in B 342. Does 9pm sound good?" We both nod and he leaves.

"Im really tired I think Ill go to bed. I want the room with windows."

"Sounds good, I like the other room anyways." Corpse goes to his room and I go to mine.

What is this feeling?

I.. no longer feel alone.

I like Corpse.

I don't know why, but I never want this feeling to end.
