Twisted Night

Chapter 4

I am so mad right now that I can literally punch my pillow until it's obliterated! It all happened in the afternoon when Madison and I planned to have lunch and catch up on what is happening in our lives. I also thought about inviting Chihiro, Thea, and Angelo, so I can introduce them to Madison. After we ordered our meal I thought of first asking Madison how my Aunt and Uncle were but before I could, she was talking to Angelo, which is an understatement, it was more like flirting with him. When I tried to get her attention though she would brush me off and continue chatting with Angelo who looked like he did not want to be here at all. At some point I even gave up and focused on finishing my meal.

I could also tell that both Thea and Chihiro had also given up on helping me shut down Madison. Later, once we were done with our lunches, and we were saying our goodbyes, Madison literally asked me, "Why time flies when we are having fun with friends~. Right Sapph?" My blood boiled at this statement. A very large part of me wanted to kick her out to the sun and watch her turn into ashes! I think that is what the rest of them were also thinking because when I glanced at Chihiro who looked as if she was going to kill her. Her look sent shivers down my spine. Remind me to never get on her bad side.

After finally escaping and saying bye to Madison we were all walking back to our classes silently when Thea broke the silence in a very nice manner, "Sapphy! may I say something? Its quite rude though." I nodded. "I can't stand this Madison girl Sapphy! Was she like this when you both younger too?" Thea asked while taking deep aggressive breaths, she was quite angry. "Well...not exactly but I guess she turned into a diva now that she lives in the city," I replied.

"I couldn't agree more," Angelo commented. Chihiro was still mad with that utterly terrifying expression. We said our goodbyes and spent the rest of the school hours in our classes. After school, we decided to do a study session to help each other with homework and guess what? Madison came along as well.

When the others and I saw her walk into the library where we were studying, we were wishing that we could've been blinded. Chihiro had her terrifying expression return to her face, and Angelo had slumped in his chair, trying to hide himself. "Angelo~!" Madison said in a sing-song voice. 

I just ignored her and helped Chihiro with her Geometry homework while Thea was working on her inventions. After like 20 mins or so, I asked everyone if they wanted to get something to eat and OF course that includes maddy because I wanted to give it another shot to make everyone feel comfortable around her like I do...sometimes. Everyone said yes, but Madison said that she had something to do so she said that she was gonna pass.

You guys should have seen everyone's faces like I needed sunglasses from becoming blind by their bright shiny faces. Later, we all went to a mini internet cafe and I saw Theo (Thea's older brother) working as a barista. "Hey Theo"! I said. "OMG! hey girl". I think I now know where Thea gets her crazy accent or way of speaking comes from.

We ordered our snacks and continued our study session and we FINALLY finished our work. When we got back to our dorms, I had a thought of everyone (except maddy ofc) to have a mini vacation after our exams. So I called everyone and asked them if they were free and they all said yes.

I also asked Angelo if he can invite his dorm friends and he said that he will let me know as soon as possible. I seriously cant wait for that vaca-

"NO!!!!!!!!!!"

I have a ceremony that lasts a whole month!!!!! This ceremony is more like a party for my younger cousin brother who passed a test and has official became a full pledged adult.....or something like that? This is something only the men or boys do, but it is mandatory to attend and congratulate them. Why does this have to be now of all the freaking time I had before i moved!!?

Just before I sink into my depression, I got a text back from Angelo in the group chat saying that the boys will come. This is gonna be SOO awkward...I texted the group saying that I forgot about the ceremony and that (if my luck can change for better) we can go the month after. And as I expected, everybody were disappointed and I explained to them about why it so important that I have to attend it.

Good thing everybody understood and said that they can wait but I still feel guilty to get their hopes high. Like why do I have to go!!! It's not like I'm gonna find any entertainment to make it better or something. Ugh! This is the worst!

The following week, my ma told me to start packing up for the ceremony and also warned me to be on my best behavior because the whole family is going to be there and she didn't want me to humiliate her more than I did. "You know if you could have just behaved properly in front of uncle Tom last time, you wouldn't be in trouble right?" Said my sister. Ugh! Not another torture. You see my sister Samantha is like the face of our family. The reason why she got that name was because she is the golden perfect child. back when we were kids I use to draw a lot and show it to my parents. And anytime I do, this would be my mom: "Oh my, Sapph! This looks beautiful. But maybe ask Sam for advice on how to make it perfect. Have you like seen her canvas?"... AHHHH, SO ANNOYING!

Listen, if a child shows you something, JUST BE PROUD ABOUT IT! If you are like my mother, I advise you to say it in a way that doesn't hurt a child that drive them to be jealous of their own sibling. That's how, many stories have a villain, who ("plot twist") is our sibling. If there are 2 brothers in the family, the first or the second will always be that one perfect, and admired by everyone including their own parents, while the other has some weakness that either makes them useless. This causes the other to compete to win their parents' love but in the end they become a villain and will drive them to kill others to win.

Anyways, so what I was trying to say earlier? Oh yea, my sister. So, I rolled my eyes and said, "Why don't you clean your backpack out and see what you need to hide before telling me what to do huh?" I said. "What are you talking about?!. I have nothing to hide.." said Sam with a anxious laugh. "Oh yeah, then what was that test paper that had a 65 written on it? hmm..?" I said with a smirk on my face while Sam's face was red as a cherry. "OH whatever!" Sam said and left.

Whatever, I have more important things to do. Like sleeping early rather than writing in this diary because we have an early flight tomorrow. But, as soon as I reach Romania, I will start the entry again. So Until then, Farewell my folks.
