Life isn't always fair, especially when you're Alex Maxi. That's me, the side character to eveyone's story- the useless child who grew up bullied and neglected. But of course in my story I'm the main character yet I still feel like a side character. The fact that I feel like a side character in every story is just... well depressing.

I don't have much of a purpose, all I really do is get laughed at all day. I guess you probably don't want to hear about my problems, My uselessness. But you are here so I guess I'll tell you my story, that is if you don't mind listening?

I see you're still here, I assume you'll be willing to listen then?

...

Thank you, I really didn't think you would stay and listen...

I was born in England on the 10th of december 1998, as you know my name is Alex Lawrence Maxi. I don't particularly like my middle name, if I could delete it I would... can you do that? I'll have to research it later... anyway, I was born into a normal sized family- definitly not the happiest family. I am the youngest of 3. I have 2 older sisters- daisy and maggie.

At age 6 I was told I was short Sighted, and so I got glasses to help me. I remember I was quite surprised when my parents got me glasses, I was neglected as a child but it seemed there may have been a spark of good in my mother. I was home schooled with my sisters for most of my life. I didn't have ANY friends, I could only wish for friends. I often fantisised about having friends, but I never did have friends. I took a long time to learn to speak, the doctors said if I didn't start speaking soon I wouldn't speak at all.

When I started high school I was sent to the local public high school. What else did I expect. One of the many problems now was I didn't know how to talk to anyone, and so I remained friendless for quite some time before I saw a bunch of students bullying another girl. And before I knew it my legs moved without my consent and I for some reason tried to defend the girl. I don't know what happened, I don't know what triggered me to act that way, but I tried to do something. I don't know what my aim was, what was I trying to do, but in the end I ended up with a black eye however, the girl was unharmed.

I remember the moments after quite clearly depsite being punched in the eye. I remember stummbling back and slided down the wall, in complete shock, however what happened next was the most surprising to me. The Girl, she seemed concerned for me. I remember her words very clearly. She Said

"Are you okay!?"

The concern in her voice was genuine. I didn't know how to respond, no one had ever asked me if I was 'Okay' before. The moment was short lived before one of the boys said

"he's not going to respond, he doesn't even respond to his own name. He talks so little you might as well say he's mute!"

the boys behind him began laughing and cackling. High School was to say the least rough. That day I got my first friend. The girl ended up being just about my only friend through high school... that was until she left. Courtney was older than me, she was 2 years above me, so our friendship didn't last as long as I thought. After she left I lost contact with her and I was once again friendless.
