-Third persons pov-
November 1st.

NightBear was sitting on the couch, playing with his bear plushie. His tail twitching a bit, he glanced at his parents, who were talking. But he knew they might end up in a argument later, his red gaze shifted towards the kitchen. He had been forbidden to go in there by his mother, who clearly hates him. I mean, his body still ached a bit from two days ago. It always made him confused and scared on how much pain that Hannah, his mother, had inflicted on him. He was so confused of why she hated him.

He flinched as he heard a argument starting to spark between his parents, he wasn't sure what they argued about but it was probably about him. The thought made him whimper. He flattened his ears against his head, he held his plushie closer to his chest. The argument had already heated up bad, and unfortunately for him, he didn't know what to do about it. He sure as hell hated it but he knew he needed to deal with it. I mean, how was he supposed to stop it without being harmed by his mother?

"Nighty?" He turned his gaze onto Dream'Bear, also known as Rena. NightBear didn't talk often so he just looked at her shyly, "Are they arguing again?" She asked, and his response was a nod and a whimper. Rena frowned, her eyes filled with sympathy as she went over to their parents. NightBear suddenly got off of the couch and made his way over to his bedroom, he just wanted a nice calming birthday today. But it seems that might never happened.

He heard a snicker from behind him, which made him turn. He stiffened when he saw Nathan standing there, the wolf was his haft brother, but never knew Nathan's father. "Hello monster freak." Nathan smirked, the hurtful insult pierced NightBear's heart. He knew he was different then his parents but he was still a nightmare like his father, so what's the difference between him and his father? He just didn't get it.

The black bear cub only let out a scared whimper, he wanted to fight back but he knew that would only result punishments from Nathan and his mother. "Hey! I'm talking to you loser!" Nathan's snarl cause him to jump, he didn't realize that his haft brother had been talking to him. Before NightBear could answer, pain pierced through his left eye. He let out a loud painful yelp, he stumbled backwards as he looked up at Nathan.

His body began to tremble as Nathan looked over him, ready to strike another blow at the younger male. "Maybe you should go and die, so that way nobody has to deal with your shit!" Nathan growled, grabbing NightBear by his hoodie. He could only squirm in his older haft brother's grip but no avail of loosening or escaping. "Trying to escape are we now?" Nathan growled lowly and threw him onto the floor harshly, but before NightBear could get up,

Nathan placed his back left leg on top of his back, "And where do you think your going?" He hissed, the only thing that the younger male could reply with was a scared yet pained whimper. "Hey! Leave him alone Nathan!" He perked his ears as Rena came to defend him. "And why should I freak?" Nathan answered, "Maybe you should look at yourself in the mirror bud. Now, leave him alone!" Rena snapped, as Nathan scoffed and stormed out.

"Are you okay?" She asked, holding out her paw towards NightBear. He nervously took it as pain was burning in his left eye, "Come on, let's take you to dad. He will know what to do." She mumbled, gently leading her brother to her father. 'My birthday is already going down hill. . .at least my father remembers, right? It's not a big surprise that my sister doesn't. She has a bad memory.' He thought, as they arrived. "Hey dad?" Rena called as Liam turned.

He was holding two or three presents, NightBear couldn't exactly tell since he had his left eye closed, and it was already bruising up. Liam stiffened at the sight of this and quickly grabbed the medical kit. "Who did this?" Liam asked, his tone was serious. Rena frowned, as NightBear sat down, holding his plushie tightly to his chest. "Nathan happened." Rena answered, Liam let out a irritated growl. "At least I can do something about Nathan." He muttered, as he gently placed a ice pack on NightBear's injured eye.

"Why can't you do anything about Mom?" Rena asked, NightBear agreed with the question. However, as much as he wanted to speak, he couldn't. His voice was hoarse from screaming and crying in pain whenever his mother inflicted pain on him. "Dream animatronics are stronger then Nightmare animatronics." Liam grunted, clearly annoyed by the fact that dream animatronics were stronger. "So you're saying that Mom and I are stronger than you guys?" She gasped,

Liam nodded before looking at NightBear, "Of course, NightBear probably has some dream powers but we never know. He doesn't use his powers often like us, and plus, he's still learning how to use them." Liam explained as he removed the ice pack off of NightBear's eye, he then placed down the first present and stood up. "I'm going to put this way and then we will open your presents. Okay NightBear?" His father said, NightBear only nodded with a small smile.

He noticed that Rena blinked, "Wait- is today your birthday?" She had this look like she just now realized what today was. NightBear nodded slowly before looking away. He gently placed down his plushie and pulled his present closer to him. "Alright, I'm back." Liam said as he sat down, "Ready to open your presents?" He asked and NightBear nodded. "Alright, you may begin."

He had the best presents. But happiness can't last forever. . .
