Your POV

A few weeks before Valentines day

I can't believe this right now. I'm at my best friend Kendall's house arguing with him all because I saw his girlfriend Ashley(A/N random name) cheating on him and I want to protect him from getting hurt. "WHY ARE YOU MAKING UP LIES ABOUT HER?!" he yelled at me. "I'M SORRY YOU CAN'T EXCEPT THE FACT THAT I'M TRYING TO PROTECT YOU!" I yelled back. "WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO PROTECT ME?!" he asked me. "YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY?? BECAUSE I LOVE YOU THAT'S WHY!" I yelled walking out slamming the door.

Kendall's POV

"... BECAUSE I LOVE YOU THAT'S WHY!" she yelled at me walking out. I jumped when the door slammed shut. I stood there shocked not knowing what to do. It came down to leave and go on a walk to clear my mind, thinking about what she said was true. Is Ashley really cheating on me? I came up on the park where Kisa and I would hang out. I sat on a bench and kept thinking putting my head in my hands frustrated with myself.

While thinking I hear this familiar laugh. I look up and see Ahsley talking and laughing with this guy. Next thing I know i see them kiss. I stood up and walked over to them. "Ashley?" I asked "Kendall! It's not what it looks like," She said to me "Well it sure looks like something is going on" I told her. She looked down. "We're done." I said to her and walked away.

Your POV

I got home, went to my room, and fell on my bed crying into my pillow. Why couldn't he just believe me. We've been friends for sooooo long I dont understand why he doesn't I kept thinking.

Valentines Day

Kendall hasn't tried to have any contact with me since the day of the argument. I've just been laying at home crying, and eating ice cream. It's just another year alone with no Valentine. I hear a knock on the door. I go answer it. I open the door and see Kendall. I try to close it, but he stops it. "Just hear me out," he told me. I let him in and go sit on the couch . I hear him set something down on the kitchen counter but I don't bother tooking. He sits in front of me on the coffee table I had. I don't look at him "I saw her that day with another guy," He said. "I to." I ty saying but he cut me off "I know.. I'm sorry I didn't believe you," He said looking at down. "But when I saw them together it didn't hurt, so that got me thinking maybe I don't love her like I thought maybe I love the girl who tried to protect me," He said. I looked up "what?" I asked confused. "That day when you said you loved me that's why you wanted to protect me.. I'm sorry I didn't listen but I did break up with her," He got up and went to the counter. He came back with a bear, flowers, and chocolate. "Will you be my valentine and my girlfriend?" He asked me. I nodded with tears in my eyes. He kissed me. He pulled away "I'm sorry I didn't believe you," He said. I kissed him and told him that I forgive him
