Chapter 20:"Senshi Riki"

Ah yes, acting. Where you pretend to be another person...at least that's how I see it. I practiced acting when I was just wee cub. Mother wanted me to be able to be good at everything...and to be able to fool other animals. To be able to fake a smile. To be able to lie to myself. To be able to pretend I'm a different animal...a strong carnivore. To be someone else instead of being me....but who is me? Who is I? Even I don't know..this is just a facade....I don't think anybody really knows who I am...

"Valerie?" Sanu called.

Ah yes. I'm acting. I can't let there be a crack in my persona.

"Sorry. Ahem. I'm ready now." I say as I lower my voice a tad lower. I need to play the male lead perfectly.
"Okay everybody! Action!"

And with those words....I was not Valerie..I was Senshi Riki. A strong carnivore male...

Senshi Riki POV:
"I am Tsuki Aina. How about you?" The blued-eye beauty asked. She has been trying to get my name out of me but I don't trust her....does she know who I am? I am a carnivore. She's a herbivore. Does she have no instincts? Does she even know what I have done?

"Hmm, fine. Don't tell me. I'll just call you stubborn man." She said as she turned away from me.

"!!"

What!?

"What's with that look on your face? You've brought this upon yourself." She said as she started to walk away with a twitch of her tail...this..this female!

"...."

What do I do? Do I say something? Do something? I don't even know the woman enough! Should I just tell her my name? It is just a name...no. Names have power. I need to be careful...even if she could be innocent. I shouldn't take the chance...I wouldn't want her to die.

Next Day:
"May I know your name?"

"...."

"Hmm, seems to be another one of those days." She said as she walked back out the house.

The Next Day:
"Hey! I have something pretty special! Do you want to know?" She asked as she held something behind her back.

What was it?

"...." I nod my head. I do want to know.

"Than I will show you!"

Really? Just like that?

"But!"

Ah...there it is.

"You must tell me your name!" She said as she looked at me with expectant eyes.

She really wants to know my name? Let's see how long she stays determined.

I shake my head.

"Damn it! I will find out one way or another!" She says as she stomps away.

Aww. Even when she's angry she's adorable. Her little nose wiggles and her ears also give the slightest of twitches..how cute.
