I am using different characters than used in the original "Late Night Phone Calls." Names and such are in the story description. The normal text is Hickory, and the italics are Wendy and sometimes outside 3rd person

*phone ringing*
"Hello?"
"Um, h-hi is this uh, *clears throat* Wendy Gisle?"
"Yes, who is this?"
"Well, this is erm, Hickory. Hickory Kyle. I found your point shoes on the side of the road."
"You did?!?! Ohmygosh I've been looking for them EVERYWHERE! They must have fallen out of the trunk when I was driving back from my last performance!! You're a hero!! Where can I meet you and get them?"
Her excitement makes him smile, he walks across the wooden floor of his living room to the window and looks out at the dreary sky.
"I live in Garrettsville. You?"
"Forrestton. That's pretty far away..."
"We could meet halfway?"
"Yes! There's a gas station on the innerstate right in the middle. You'll know when you see it. It will take the whole night to drive... Would you mind? Then I could have them by morning."
"These shoes seem important."
"Oh they are."
"Well, alright then. I'll do it."
"Thank you! See you soon"
She hangs up
