Jaemin pays for their meal, he waved his hand as the other two went on the other direction. "Remember to always use protection, Hyuck~"
Renjun pushes him aside as he bidded his goodbyes. "I'm sorry my boyfriend is acting like a child right now." He fake cries. "Be careful on your way home!"
Jeno nods his head and he waved his hand, same for Hyuck. "Renjun! We'll see you next time!"
As they were making their way, Jeno gets a quick gut feeling that something was about to go wrong. He enters the house they're staying in and he was well aware of what was happening in his surroundings.
Call him paranoid but he knows the sequence, the scratches on the window, the footprints of mud near the house, the lock looking like it has been picked on. Jeno was agitated.
He didn't want the latter to panic so he quickly tells Hyuck that he was in the mood to watch some movies, he tells him to watch ahead as he goes out to look for something.
Hyuck obeyed and he watches a cliché romcom movie knowing Jeno would like that genre. He had no idea what was going on.
Jeno has a sharp eye for movements, he noticed a sudden maneuver of the bush at the back of the house so he cautiously approached it.
A quick jab strikes Jeno's cheek making him lose his balance and fall to the ground.
"What the fuck is wrong with you!" He shrieked in pain as he saw a faint silhouette of his dad appearing from a small distance.
"You wouldn't thrive without me, Jeno. Just comeback to our base if you don't want to live your life in constant excruciating pain. I'm gonna make you experience hell as you step foot on this earth." His father exclaimed.
Jeno was breathing heavily as he stood up, towering his father. "You already made me suffer. I won't allow you to continue this bullshit. Especially when I'm starting to put my life back together. I can't have you lingering around like this, I kept your dirty fucking secret. I'm not telling anyone what you do for a living. Can you just leave me alone." He shoved his father's shoulder.
A bloodcurdling grin was plastered over his face as he went for another jab, this time Jeno saw it coming so he avoided it quickly. "Fine if you don't want to suffer, then I'll make that man inside the house suffer." He warned as he scurried off.
Jeno was distraught. I shouldn't have let Hyuck be involved in my stupid life, how am I gonna protect him...
