"Hey, you feeling ok?"
"*cough* I've been better..." Katie answered, her voice coarse and sore. Jade rest her hand on her forehead. "You're temperature is through the roof, girl!" Jade gasped, quickly snatching her hand away from Katie's forehead. Katie got a terrible fever over the weekend she was out with her family, so she had to take classes off for a few days. "Here, let me go get you a cup of tea. I'll be back." Jade said as she made her way to the kitchen.
She came back with a cup of chamomile tea. Katie sat up and took the cup from her hands, taking a few sips at a time. "Who do you think even got you sick?" Jade asked her. "I honestly don't know. *sniff* It could have been Aaron, he did have a bad fever a few weeks ago." Katie answered. "Maybe. At least you don't have that stomach bug anymore!" Jade said. "Yeah, I-I guess so!.." Katie said.
A few minutes had gone by, and Katie felt herself getting a terrible migraine. She tried looking for the advil that was laying on the table beside her, but it wasn't. She laid down and waited until Jade came back, slowly drifting off to sleep.
Jade came back to the room after getting some water for Katie, but got scared at the sight of her with her eyes closed. She rushed over to where Katie was laying and gently put her hand on her stomach. Jade then took a sigh of relief and left the glass of water on the bedside table. She gave Katie a tiny kiss on the forehead, not caring how hot of how sick she was. She made her way to the desk that both her and Katie used to catch up on schoolwork, making sure to check up on Katie every few minutes.
