I Have To Do This

⠀⠀⠀⠀I, Anna of Arendelle, do accept the dangers I could be placing myself in by demanding this endeavor, but I need to know. Was it all a lie? Were there any truths in the praise he once gave me? Does he know the pain he has caused my sister and I? Is he even human? Does he know how it feels to be betrayed? I must know. I have to do this. Even if it tears my heart to pieces.
⠀⠀⠀⠀"I want to see him," I state firmly.
⠀⠀⠀⠀"W-what? Anna! That's outrageous! You can't! How could you even suggest something like that?" Elsa shouted back, clearly surprised by my request.
⠀⠀⠀⠀"Elsa, I need answers. I need to know why he did what he did. There's no other way. I have to see him," I pleaded with her to let me go and eventually she gave in.
⠀⠀⠀⠀"Fine, but I'm coming with you."
⠀⠀⠀⠀"You don't have to, I can handle myself on my own."
⠀⠀⠀⠀"Something could go wrong, knowing him, so I have to protect you. You're all I have left, Anna. I can't lose you too."

⠀⠀⠀⠀A few hours later, Elsa and I were boarding the ship when I spotted Kristoff running towards us.
⠀⠀⠀⠀"Anna! Why didn't you tell me you were leaving? I had to find out from the guards! I can't let you go after what he put you through!" he exclaimed through his heavy breathing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀I rolled my eyes to myself before replying. It seemed everyone believed that no good could come of this, "I have to do this for myself, so you can't stop me from going. Besides, I'll be back before you can say 'carrots.'"
⠀⠀⠀⠀He eventually accepted that I wouldn't aboard this mission for answers and called out to me as the ship began to leave, "Be careful!"
⠀⠀⠀⠀"I will!" I shouted back in return and as the ship drifted away, I could've sworn I heard him say 'carrots' to himself.
