River's POV:

I don't know how to begin, there's silence surrounding us, just spoons and forks clanking. She wanted to know what happened to my parents, but i think it's too weird to talk about it right now.

After eating, i cleaned the dish, i saw her sat in the couch, reading one of the books placed in the table. I then sat beside her and looked at her face.

"So, want to talk about it now?" she asked me.

"You were so quiet at the table, so i didn't made any conversations" she added.

I chuckled, seeing her smile like that made my world stop turning.

"Okay, let's talk about it" i said breathing out heavily.

"When i was 12, my dad left us for his business trip, then he never came back. We don't have any news from him or his close friends, he just drifted away. After 4 years, my mom died in a plane crash on her way home, the only person i have now are my grandparents. But now i'm 18 and independent, i bought this house for myself.

"Oh.. I'm sorry.." she looked down playing with her fingers.

"No, it's fine. It's been years" I said.

We then had another moment of silence, when she suddenly asked me,

"Can i stay here for tonight? It's getting a little bit late, i can't go home"

"If it's okay to you, i mean i can call my dad to pick me up here" she added

"It's fine, you can stay here for the night" I smiled at her showing a sign that she's welcome here.

"Thank you, you're really a great person, River" she hugged me.

I gave her one of my pajamas to keep her comfortable for tonight.

"You can stay here at my room, i'll just sleep at the couch" I said

"Can we sleep beside each other, River? I'm scared being alone" she pouted.

"Yeah, sure" I said without any second thoughts

I sat at the other side of the bed, fixing my pillows. She turned around at my side and gazed at me,

"So, what do you want to talk about before we go to sleep?" She asked me while fixing her hair.

"Anything, it's up to you" I smiled at her

"Uhm.. Do you have any past relationships? If you don't mind me asking" she said.

"Uh.. Yeah, I've dated this girl back then, but we broke up because she chose the boy" I said and lay beside her.

"Oh.. She's so bad, choosing a boy over you" She rolled her eyes.

"If i saw that girl in the streets, i'll totally knock her down" she added.

We laughed together, and suddenly our eyes met.

"You're a great person, River" she told me

"You too, Liv. Thank you for making my night" I smiled at her

She gave me a hug, she's warm, comfortable, if i can, i'll pull her closer to me and hug her tighter.

"You really love hugs, huh?" I asked her chuckling.

"I do, and i love it the most if it's you" she said before falling asleep in my side.

It made my heart melt.

MORNING

Morning came, she's still not awake so i planned to make us breakfast. Her favorite breakfast meal is bacon and pancakes, top it up with a hot coffee. Suddenly, i heard footsteps going down at the stairs. She sat at the table, rubbing her eyes and looking everywhere.

"Good Morning" she said with a big smile on her face.

"Good Morning, i made bacon and pancakes for you" i replied

"Wow, that looks so delicious" she took a bite from her bacon and a slice from her pancake.

"You know what? You'd be a good wife someday" She laughed.

A good wife to you...

"Uh-huh, i'll think about that" I said taking a sip from my coffee.

"I don't have any plans for today, wanna hang out again?" She asked me, continue eating her food.

"Yeah, sure, sounds great" I gave her a big smile.

"Let's go to the museum, it's great to roam around there" She said

I nodded, fixing the table.

"But, i need to go home first, i'll change clothes" she giggled.

"I'll pick you up here, later" she added.

"Yes, alright"
