"Congrats again, Mr. Wright!"
As I'm leaving the defendant lobby, I spin around to see an all-too-familiar prosecutor and his adoptive little sister catching up to me, the latter of whom has just congratulated me for winning another trial.
"Thanks, I guess...wait, you were watching?" The prosecutor for this case hadn't been Edgeworth - it had been that old guy with glasses. What was his name again? Window Pane?
"Of course! Edgeworth it!" Emeri laughs, and Edgeworth doesn't react except for an "urk..." so soft I'm not sure I actually heard it.
He suddenly blinks and says, "Emeri, isn't there somewhere we should be right now?"
Her eyes widen. "Ah, that's right! See you later, Mr. Wright!" She runs to catch up with her brother, who has just left.
"Huh. Wonder what that was about?" I turn to Maya and open my mouth to ask her, but I see that she left with them.
That's odd. They all looked sort of tense just now, and they left in a hurry. Not to mention Maya has never gone anywhere with Edgeworth and without me before.
Hmm, I think as I also step outside, they probably have their reasons to keep it from me. I'll try not to pry...
...maybe.
