First Letters

Mom,
Rodney, and I aren't exactly getting along like we used to. He's letting his ego get the better of him, and I can't take it any longer. It's like I don't even exist to him these days. It's so frustrating to be put last to the person you put first.
Why waste my time anymore? I want to be happy. I deserve to be happy. I don't think staying here is what will make me happy. I guess what I need to do is sit down, and really think about what I want to do. Maybe one day, my wake up call will come along.
Love you always, Ashleigh

That was the letter I thought I had sent to my mother 2 weeks ago, but I didn't send it to my mom. I sent it to a complete stranger.

Ashleigh,
I'm sorry to hear about your relationship troubles, but I want you to know that if you aren't happy, leave. You've got your whole life ahead of you. Why let one person ruin that? Oh, and another thing I should have started off with. I'm not your mother. My name is Seth Rollins, and I am the CEO of Rollins Revolution. I hope you've heard of my nutritional brand. Anyway, like I said before, you seem to be a very nice girl. Don't let someone bring you down like this. Life is too short to be anything but happy.
Yours truly, Seth Rollins

Rollins Revolution?

I've heard of that before. They operate in Laguna Beach.

"Mom, what's that company you get your protein bars from?" I ask, walking into her kitchen.

"Rollins Revolution. He's such a sweet man. You would love him!" She grinned widely.

"He? Who's he?" I ask.

"Seth Rollins. He sends handwritten postcards to everyone that spends over 50 dollars on his products. I just got one in the mail this morning, actually." She says.

"Mom. He's the person I sent that letter to. The one I meant to send to you." I said.

"See what happens when you're fed up with your life, Ashleigh? God works in mysterious ways." She winks, walking away.

Isn't that the truth.

Rodney has been blowing me off steadily for the past month, and tonight was the night I put an end to it all. I sent him a text message telling him where to meet me later, but as always, I got no response.

Instead, I did something even better.

"I'm obviously a burden to you anymore these days, so I think it would be in both our interests if we went our separate ways. Goodbye Rodney."

I hit send, and immediately felt relieved.

"Sweetheart, could you come help me for a minute?" My mother calls out from the garden outside.

"Be right there!" I say as I chew on the inside of my lip.

Walking to the front door I saw a man with shoulder length hair talking to my mother almost as if they'd talk everyday.

"Hey." I smile at the two of them.

"Honey, this is Seth Rollins. He's got a package for you." She grins, walking away.

"Ah. So you're the one I accidentally sent that letter to. I'm sorry." I laugh, covering my face.

"Don't be sorry. I live right next to your mom. Easy mix up, really." He shrugs.

"Well that gives me some relief. I thought I really forgot her address." I sigh.

"Nope. You remembered. The mailman just screwed up. Almost like he planned for us to meet." He smiles, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Oh my gosh. Stop that." I laugh, pointing at him.

"I brought you something. It's nothing huge, bit it's something nonetheless." He smiles.

"A non secret secret admirer?" I ask.

"I could be. Or I could just be giving a gorgeous young lady a box filled with the finest products around." He says.

"I guess I should open it, and really see how good they are." I smile, walking back inside.

He follows me to the kitchen, sitting in the stool next to me.

"Your mother told me your favorite color is yellow." He says.

"She knows me too well." I say.

"Anyone who gets to know a woman like you is lucky. So tell me. How's this Rodney fellow?" He asks.

"We, or I actually broke up with him not long ago." I say.

"Good for you! First step to finding true happiness." He says.

I tore open the box, finding loads of yellow things inside. Rollins Revolution products that is.

"At least they're yellow!" I say.

"Could I take you out sometime? Maybe coffee tomorrow morning?" He asks.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'd like that a lot. Tomorrow morning, Seth." I say to him as he gets up to leave.

"I look forward to stealing your heart." He whispers tonne before he leaves.
