A Strange Man Named Kayaba

I woke up to here the door being knocked on. After yesterday, I hope this isn't Chrom, I've been spread pretty thin, at least we defeated Grima, although lately Chrom's been asking me to inspect pieces of technology far beyond our knowing. I knew I had to get up, so I did, and got on my cloak.
"I'll be back in a moment, Tharja, just don't wake up Morgan or Noire, okay?" I said, rubbing my eyes. She was still asleep, but, whatever.
I opened the door and a strange-looking man was staring back at me.
"Yes, what is it?" I asked.
He replied excitedly, "Oh, Robin, I've heard so many things, good things, of course." he started to aggressively shake my hand.
Pulling my hand away I said, "What is it?"
All he did was hand me a helmet with the word "Nerve Gear" on it.
"Put it on, then say 'Link Start', please." he said, still excited.
Wanting to get him out of my hair, I put it on and said, "Link Start." I saw a bunch of circles with words in them and something questioned me on wether or not to load a beta character. I guess I said yes, because that option was selected and suddenly I was in a new, strange world where people were fighting blue boars and running around, not in a happy sense, though. I saw a relatively small teenager in all black. Speaking of which, I checked myself and I was in fact wearing my black and purple cloak.
"Sir, sir, I have a question!" I started to shout at the stranger.
