"Okay so Lou you and Haz have a list of what you need to do to take care of the house, plants, and dog while I'm gone so nothing should do wrong but if there are any issues just text me alright"
"Yeah yeah. Ok, Zayn we got it under control. Have a nice time with Gigi" he smirked wiggling his eyebrows. Zayn just smacked him lightly on the arm and quickly said goodbye. "It's just you and me now Haz" he called out. Louis wasn't sure where Harry was. He followed the sound of giggling to then find Harry sitting outside with Nellie the dog on top of him giving him kisses. Louis smiled" Excuse me, Nellie, that is my job, not yours, and I would appreciate you not making Harold's lips taste like a dog." Nellie just looked back at the man confused and then walked back into the house. Harry smiled towards Louis getting up and going back in the house with him. "Zayn said he had already been fed for the first time today so we can go home till this afternoon. Zayn only wanted to give us instruction."
"Okay sounds good," Harry said looking at his hands. "You should paint my nails when we get home."
"I can do that for you Haz" Louis smiled at the man. "Let's get going, bye Nellie we will be back." He called out to him and Harry started to walk out of the house and towards their car.
"It's exciting watching someone else's dog don't you think Lou?" Harry asked as they started to drive towards their home.
"Sure Harold but it is not like we don't have dogs" Louis replied
"Okay first, using dogs plurally is a little generous, Elanour basically owns Bruce. Clifford is our only dog and he is kinda a spaz. Nellie is not a spaz so it's more fun." Harry laughed
"Bruce is still mine. I guess you're right though it is kinda fun" Louis smiled at his now laughing husband.
"You looked so offended when I said Elanour basically owned Bruce" Harry laughed out.
"It's not that funny Harry and she does not own him, he is still MY DOG," Louis said, acting fake offended.

"Just go outside Nellie," Louis sighed, starting to get frustrated. The dog would not go outside and Louis did not need her doing her business in the house he didn't want to clean it but he knew he would have to see Harry would not want to clean something to do with an animal.
"C'mon Nellie" Harry coaxed walking outside to see if the dog would follow. Harry was lucky enough that once she was outside she was off doing her thing. Harry and Louis both sighed in relief.
"You're a lifesaver babe," Louis said, grabbing Harry's waist.
"I know. I am a literal dog whisperer." Harry laughed.

"Louis she won't eat food" Harry whined out getting frustrated at the dog.
"If she is really hungry she will eat Haz." Louis sighed. There was no way to make the dog eat and he didn't know what to do. Zayn would be home in a day or two and then he wouldn't have to worry about the dog. For now, everything was going alright a few hiccups here and there but nothing too bad.

Louis and Harry after a while the next day had decided to take the dog on a walk. They were just walking around the neighborhood seeing it was gated and they were way less likely to get mobbed or even spotted by any fans. Nellie was doing alright on the walk other than the fact that she was pulling on her leash quite a bit. They were walking and after a while, Louis heard Harry screech.
"Louis the dog pooped to pick it up," Harry said looking disgusted.
"Okay Jesus, chill out, it's just poop." Louis got it by putting it in a bag and looking for a trash can but of course, there wasn't one. They decided to walk back to the house."Nasty." Louis said grimacing as he threw away the poop. They let Nellie inside making sure she was alright and then going home for the day.

"I'm going to water Zayn's flowers Louis so I'll be outside," Harry called out.
"Okay Haz I will bring the dog out in a second the footy game is almost over '' Louis said back. When the game ended Louis went into the yard with the dog. He didn't think about the fact Harry might have the gate open to water the front grass though and as soon as Nellie saw the opening she went running."Shit." Louis said, starting to run after her. Harry saw the dog and went after her but she was fast. After about 20 minutes the grass was overwatered but they had finally caught the dog. They finished everything outside and went into the house. They didn't need to stay as long that day because Zayn was coming home but they were tired so they laid on the couch cuddling and closing their eyes for just a moment.

When Zayn and Gigi came home they laughed at the two boys who were now sleeping on the couch. Zayn snapped a quick picture deciding to leave them be. Louis and Harry woke up a bit later, deciding to stay for dinner and tell of all their adventures with the dog and having a good laugh with their former bandmate and his girlfriend. At the end of the day, they went home and to sleep having a peaceful rest knowing they would only have to take care of Clifford for a while.

Okay hello so um this one-shot isn't very long and I don't know if I like it but I am dog sitting right now and I just need to get my mind off some things so I decided to write. The fandom is really stressful for me at the moment :) Sometimes it is not the most fun here but I love it anyway. I just want to write something to tbh kinda get my mind off the stress I'm feeling. It's coming from a few diff things but hopefully, it will pass so that I can sleep. That's all I hope this wasn't too terrible and um Happy 4th of July tmr if you celebrate or whatever.
