The meeting room is filled with deafening silence although there are 15 people inside. Nobody dares to speak a word when Jimin asks them multiple questions regarding the recent import issue – the shipment has been delayed due to mismanagement and incompetency coming from his own company. Their business partner is obviously not delighted with what had happened.
"So?", Jimin asks short while observing every single face in the meeting room. His chest feels tight, trying his best to control his anger and remains professional.
He does not want to treat his employees like a child but sometimes their professionalism and business ethics are going downhill day by day. He knows how they have been fooling around most of the time while he has been traveling back and forth for the sake of maintaining business relationships with other business partners. This is not the attitude that he wants.
Hoseok who sits next to Jimin feels the same just like his other co-workers even though he has no role at all in the shipment issue that happened. He shuts his mouth, not wanting to interrupt if Jimin is managing his anger well then it is fine for him and other staff.
The loyal friend who also works as his assistant knows well nobody can save them from this version of Park Jimin – the scary, fierce business owner inside him is awakened.
Even Elon Musk could never.
Then it occurs to Hoseok that if only the staff know that the person who is standing and looking fierce in front of them right now watches Disney movies on weekly basis, they must have not taken him this seriously.
He tries his best to hold his laugh – this is not the right time to laugh, Hoseok keeps telling himself.
The scene where he drove Jimin to their site visit keeps playing inside Hoseok's head. "Why did you keep yawning, Jimin?", he asked while looking at the person next to him who looks sleepy behind those expensive sunglasses. "I slept late. Accompanied Mina to watch Disney movies", Park Jimin answered shortly and continued to rest his eyes to take a nap. Only God knows how much Hoseok has been laughing directly at Jimin's face that morning during their car ride.
Back to the meeting room, Park Jimin is still having a very serious talk with the leaders from each of the departments. They are doing a post-mortem on the serious issue that has brought misfortune to the company.
"Maybe we can ask Chairman Park about this?", a voice breaks the silence of the meeting room. One employee named Soobin asks in a voice that is not too loud – feeling scared that the CEO might eat him alive. He is not wrong on that part because obviously, Jimin looks like he could tear him apart right now at the mention of his father's name.
Jimin looks up with his stern expression without answering the question. Soobin looks right and left in pity trying to find help then his eyes lock with Hoseok, the one who is sitting next to Park Jimin.
"Yes! That is a great idea. Thank you for voicing your opinion," Hoseok fakes a laugh and everyone except Jimin nods together trying to lighten up the cold environment. Jimin glares at his favorite hyung with his infamous raised eyebrow but he just boldly ignoring Park Jimin.
Out of all people in the meeting room, only he can do that without being eaten alive.
The meeting takes more than 2 hours, and it seems like Park Jimin still wanted to keep going but Hoseok silently reminds him that it is almost lunch hour, and the employees look like they could eat even paper works that are scattered on the meeting table.
Once the employees are dismissed from the room, Jimin turns to Hoseok to ask him what he has done previously. "I am trying to save Soobin from crying. Can't you spare that poor kid, Jimin?"
