The four of them talked about what to do and decided to try and venture out and see if they could find any information."Luka, you and Eryn go and see what you can find. You can use your shapeshifting powers to transform into whatever lives here to be more discreet." Maevis calmly spoke.
Luka nodded his head at them and turned to Eryn, "Well, let's get a move on. We don't know if it will get dark and how fast it will if it does. Once we get closer to a village, I'll see what lives here to disguise us, ok?" He asked.
"Gotcha. You two be careful alright? Don't go wondering off." Eryn responded.
"We're not 5 Ryn. We'll be careful. Same goes for you two as well!" Zephyr remarked.
Eryn and Luka said their goodbyes and headed off to find information. Maevis hoped they would find something useful. They didn't really want to stay here.
"Vis do you think they'll find something? Because I'm kind of worried. I mean we don't even know where we are. This place is nothing like the planets in our galaxy. What if we're in a completely different galaxy? What if-" Maevis cut her off, "We'll be fine Zeph. We're gonna get home."
Zephyr seemed to calm down a bit but still looked panicked. "How about we try and find some materials to make a shelter out of? We don't know how long we could be here so we'll need somewhere to stay." Maevis proposed. With Zephyr agreeing, the two went and looked for something they could use as shelter.

"Luka are you sure we're not lost?"
"Um. Not really, but I can hear talking up ahead and there's...smoke? Whatever that is, there's probably living creatures there, then I can transform and boom. We're in!" Luka excitedly replied.
He wasn't wrong though. There was smoke coming up into the sky. Probably from a fire they concluded. The talking and noise got a little louder and clearer as they progressed forward.
As they poked their heads out of the trees, not wanting to be seen, they held back a gasp. All around them were what seemed to be people? They were like them, but with no horns and tails. There were small buildings almost everywhere. Objects that seemed to have four wheels were moving on the concrete that seemed to be painted. There was only one thought that the two of them had. 'Where in the world were they?'
After getting glances at the living creatures, Luka pulled Eryn back into the walls of trees, and closed his eyes. A quick flash happened and when he opened his eyes, him and Eryn no longer looked like demons. Eryn seemed to have stayed almost the same except a quick change of clothing and their horns and tail were gone. Her outfit consisted of what looked like a plaid skirt and a sweater with sneakers. Luka now had brown hair and a sweater with a hood? That was odd.
"The creatures here must love these hooded sweaters. Almost everyone has one on." Luka observed when they walked out.
"Luka we have to be careful. They may think we're weird and misplaced if we call them creatures. Now c'mon. Let's see if we can find a library. It may have information of this place and maybe our home." Eryn commented.
Luka nodded and they were off. They tried to find someone who looked trustworthy to help them. After finding a man who didn't really look scary, they went up to him.
"Um excuse me sir. Do you happen to know where the nearest library is?" Luka questioned. The man seemed to be a little shocked they were asking for a library considering it was in the middle of June with no school, but he answered regardless.
"You're going to want to keep going straight and it will be on your left. It's called the 'Boise Public Library.' Shouldn't y'all be like causing trouble or something? I didn't think kids your age would want to spend time at a library."
"Oh um, we just prefer the quietness of the library. We're good kids you know? Um anyways thank you! Have a swell day sir!" Luka replied a little nervous.
He grabbed Eryn's hand and pulled her along towards the library. The man stood there for a second seeming a little baffled, then carried on his way.
"Do you think 'swell' was a little much Ryn?"
"Oh it most definitely was. But it doesn't really matter. Now c'mon. It's time to do your most favorite thing ever. Read!" Eryn teased. Luka groaned as he got pulled into the library.
