Prologue

Tremors coursed through my body as I struggled to contain the desire to hold her.

"I do not know you. How many times will I have to repeat myself?!" I yelled, struggling to contain this feeling running rampant inside me.

Hurt blossomed across her features, her vivid green eyes widening and producing tears. She covered her mouth with a shaking hand, as if to hold herself together so she wouldn't shatter into a million pieces. Her lips -those succulent, pink lips that never failed to rouse the beast within me- trembled delicately.

Everything about her was delicate. She screamed fragility. I was deathly afraid that just one touch from me would break her, even though I knew that I shouldn't be wanting to touch her in the first place. I shouldn't be wanting to have her petite body nestled against my large frame, pliant under my hands as if she were a block of soft clay, bending to my will.

I screwed my eyes shut tightly, trying to erase the thoughts from my head. I didn't even know if I could trust her! But that only gave room for my thoughts to grow, and for me to become more frustrated. I was at odds with myself. On one hand, every fiber of my being seemed to come alive whenever she was around, as if my body knew and recognized her presence. On the other hand, everyone around me as well as my own logic was telling me that she was only a stranger, using me for my fame.

I hear a soft sob, and my eyes fly open to see crystals running down her face, leaving wet tracks in their wake.

"Screw it," I growl, not able to contain myself anymore.

With two small strides, I am in front of her, my face merely centimeters away from hers. Cupping her soft, round face in my hands, I bring her lips to mine to have a taste of the forbidden fruit that had been taunting me for so long.

And I come undone.
