For many years, the kingdom ruled by Felix’s parents remained peaceful. Of course, there were the odd few battles here and there, but never anything huge or anything that could threaten the kingdom’s reputation. However deep within the forest, that was not owned by the kingdom, lived a rather interesting group. It was a wolf pack - but not just any wolf pack. The pack that consisted of hybrid men, who could turn to a wolf and back at their own will. This pack lived freely within the forest, not having to worry about being taken out by the kingdom. Though recently Chan, the leader of the pack which he always liked to call Wolfgang, had seen a rise in aggression, mainly from other packs who always took their food whenever they pleased. This resulted in their pack surviving on… humans.
Most of the kingdom villagers came and went as they pleased and as wolves were highly known for being territorial, it was only a matter of time before they would start hunting them, despite not liking the taste of human flesh. It was all they could get for now.
"Foul humans! How many times do I have to hunt them before their men get the message?" A low growl left the alpha leader’s throat, as he had his foot on one of their most recent hunts (yet another one from the kingdom that had set foot on the packs land).
"Hyung... can we try and find other food? I don’t like the thought of eating humans..." a soft voice spoke, belonging to the baby of the pack, Jeongin who had, for a while, hated the thought of eating humans. Even though they did enter their territory, he wasn’t desperate enough to eat them, though it was all they had.
Meanwhile within the kingdom’s walls there was a knock on the door. Before a deep sounding ‘enter’ came, a blonde, long-haired boy ran in and bowed "Your highnesses, we have just lost another man in the forest. I suggest me and a few others head into the forest and eliminate whatever the problem is, before we lose even-"
He was silenced by the king’s own voice, “That’s enough Hyunjin. It will be too dangerous and I’m not risking losing even more men to this”.
While they were speaking Felix, the king’s son and soon to be prince, was listening. He was intrigued by what was happening and he wanted to go with them but knew that he wouldn’t be allowed for the fear of he may be hurt or even killed. Yet he still wanted to go and explore. Whatever was killing the men may have a reason. He knew animals tended to fight over food, so that was a possibility.
"Then what do you expect us to do? Sit around while more men get killed? Their bodies are never even found! Yes, we may lose a few more, but if we can end this now, then what’s the problem your highness?" Hyunjin said.
much, nor what was in the forest, so he wanted to go. As he got onto a horse that was vacant, they all set off, the galloping horses taking them to the forest. The closer they got to the forest, the more the creepiness picked up. It was dark within the forest, but still galloped through, the only sounds being the horses’ hooves beating down on the ground and the wind blowing through the trees. Felix felt slightly scared, but not enough to force himself to go back - he came this far he wasn’t giving up."Does anyone else see those glowing, green eyes..."
