Hermione POV
With Hagrid having a message for Y/N and then going with an older student I have to say I had an uneasy feeling. I knew he couldn't be in trouble since I was with him for most of the time on the train.I don't want to lose my only friend before school even starts. Maybe it has something to do with the box that was next to him on the train. I don't remember any of the school supplies being that big and it can't be a broom because first years can't have them. Even if it was the box is too small for it to fit in anyway.
I hope everything is ok.
Y/N POV
Cedric told me that he was going to take me the long way to Professor McGonagalls office so he could show me some of the different classrooms. He showed me where most of the first year classes were which is going to be useful. We eventually arrive at Professor McGonagalls office and Cedric knocks on the door. In response we hear a "come in" so we enter. We are greeted by a woman in green robes sitting behind a desk with two chairs in front of it and the closed box with my sword and gauntlets to the left of it. "Ah you must be Mr.L/N. I am Professor McGonagall head of the house of Gryffindor." She says very politely. Now turning to Cedric. "Thank you Mr. Diggory for bringing Mr L/N here. You can go now."

"You are welcome Professor I'll see you around Y/N" Cedric replies.
"Thanks Cedric and I'll see you around." I say. He smiles and the. Leaves us.
Turning my attention to Professor McGonagall I run up to her and give her a big hug " hey grandma." I say she chuckles and hugs me back and says "please sit and make yourself comfortable. We have quite a few things to discuss."
"Thank you Professor." I say while sitting
"I have owled your parents a few times over the summer to see how you are progressing with your training and studies' since you have decided to start a little early. How would you say it is going for you?"
I take a few minutes to gather my thoughts before I speak, "I would say it is going extremely well. I feel i have improved since the beginning, but I still have a long way to go."
"Good to hear. you are wise for your age just like your mother."
"yes well my mom was the daughter of an extremely powerful witch."
She chuckles "Y/N your parents tell me you want to discuss something with me."
"Yes I was wondering if you could tell me about our family on your side because in the book it says that I'm the heir the last guardian and no one knows who that is and I just want to know who it is to know if there good or evil." I say
She looks at me with sad eyes "Dear I'm afraid I cant tell you much my self for the McGonagall family tree isn't really complete. But let me give you some advice just because some one is related to some one evil that is not who they are. A person is not defined by there ancestors but what they do with the life they are given. Its not about being exiled from the rest but doing what's right. And if you ask me some one who fought against evil for there entire life is good in my book." She says.
