Okay something is definitely not right! It's 9:00pm and mom is still not answering my calls! I am startingto panic now.She did say she wil be coming late but whenever she has to work extra she always calls me to check up. Yet she hasn't even called even once today! Plus she's not even answering my calls!
Something isn't right. Why am I feeling like this?
I bite my lips and take a deep breath.
I should call in her office.
I picked up my phone and dialed the number.

"Hello?"an unknown voice said.Must be a office worker
"Hey I am (Y/N) (L/N) daughter of Manager Kendra (L/N).Can I kindly talk to her? "
"Manager Kendra (L/N)?"

There was silence on the other line for a few seconds.
"Oh yeah.... She was absent today"
Wait WHAT??!?!?
"She was absent?But she told me that she has an extra shift today."
"She did have an extra shift but she didn't show up this morning.Now if you may excuse me I have some work to do"
