Chapter 17: Ladies' Night

"Who's there?" He called out, his body alert at any sign of danger.

Out of the shadows, Finn Mikaelson stepped out.

Immediately, Stefan's eyes widened in surprise. The first thing that he noticed was the scent of blood coursing through Finn's veins. The second thing that caught his attention were the words that Finn said:

"I know how to make Elena human."

Chapter 17: Ladies' Night

MYSTIC FALLS. 2010 A.D.

"What do you mean Faith is the cure?" Damon looked at Stefan and their visitors skeptically.

"Faith's blood made Finn and Sage human." Stefan gestured to their guests. "They drank her blood, died, and when they woke up, they drank vampire blood and became human."

"Right." Damon said in disbelief.

"Yes." Stefan continued. "Esther wasn't sure at first when it happened to Finn. So she tested it on Sage and now they're both human. It's tested and proven. Faith's blood works like vampire blood in reverse."

"And now you want to Elena to take the cure."

"Yes, Damon. She needs it."

"Ok, so what's the catch?" Damon eyed their visitors suspiciously.

Stefan avoided his brother's eyes and answered quietly. "Finn and Sage want our help in giving it to the rest of the Originals."

"Oh wow," Damon emphasized sarcastically. "We're just supposed to go up to them and inject them with Faith's blood and ta-da, they're magically humans. And by the way, where is mother dearest?"

With that said, he turned to Finn and Sage.

"My mother is dead." Finn answered soberly.

The answer was news to the Salvatore brothers and left them speechless.

"There was something that bothered my mother about Faith," Finn explained. "My siblings and I all remembered Faith, but my mother could not recall much about the girl. She had gone away to investigate and had met up with an old friend. After a couple of days, her dead body shows up with no signs as to how she died."

"And who is this old friend." Damon questioned Finn.

"We don't know. Mother never mentioned his name."

"Wait," Sage interrupted. "She did mention something about nature calling and her answering."

"Yes, she did." Finn nodded. "I thought it was just a figure of speech but maybe it has something to do with it."

"Ok, time out." Damon burst out. "Let's do this one problem at a time. First, where is Faith?"

"She's with the girls." Stefan answered.

"Ok, let's go get her." Damon grabbed his jacket and walked out the door followed by Stefan.

After the funeral, the girls had gathered at Bonnie's place for some time together. They had all changed into their pajamas and were now sitting in the living room. Somehow, Caroline had convinced them all to play 21 questions. They had a few good laughs then it was Faith's turn to answer.
