Lucas had always been a close friend to Berry. He could be trouble at times with getting them nearly caught in situations, such as throwing bombs where he shouldn't have, or leaving weapons in plain sight. There wasn't anything to be done about it, of course; he was the leader of the assassin team, so he could kill his teammates right then and there if he really wanted to.

Berry had no problem with this, as she believed that she was on his good side. Unlike their more sensical friend, Dylan, she knows not to scold him for doing something unethical, as that had nearly gotten them both killed on multiple occasions.

The team had set out to kill a multitude of people that night, although unfortunately for them, there were cops lining the place they had targeted from the last time they came there. "Okay, so here's what I think we should do to avoid them;" started Berry. Lucas, having sat there with multiple plans being tossed away, had grown impatient. He leans back in the rusty chair that he sat in, folding his arms with a displeased look on his face.

"Berry, you know that won't work. They're fully aware that we may arrive. The more logical thing to do is-" Dylan was interrupted abruptly by a sharp knife being thrown just inches past his face, and to the wall behind him. The two friends stare at their leader, who looked furthermore irritated than minutes earlier. "Dylan, take a moment to kindly shut the hell up before this next knife goes right into your eyes." Lucas warned.

"Eyes?? You mean eye." Berry nudges him gently as Lucas raised the butcher's knife in warning. "You are dismissed. Get the fuck out of my office before I make my empty threats a reality." Dylan rushes out, while Berry stays there for a moment. The mauve eyed girl longed for her boss to be happy, or to be in a better mindset for the next day. She sits across from him, amused at the fact that his seafoam green hands moved together in a patterned way. Folded, unfolded, layed out, crossed, and repeat.

To stop his hands from doing such, she rests her lavender claws on top of them, which, to her luck, had stopped them from moving. Realizing what she had done, she pulls back, expecting to get stabbed from touching without a warning. Instead, she's met with a confused stare. He didn't look annoyed, he didn't shout, he just stared. "....your claws...they're nice...' he averts eye contact and puts his hands out again, expecting her to know what to do.

Of course, she complies, amusing the brunette immensely. It was silent for those moments. Both believed nothing needed to be said. Lucas stops averting his eyes, noticing an indigo blush forming on his friend's cheeks, as well as a confused stare of her own. "Your hands are nice, too..." she mumbles out.

Nothing needed to be said. Nothing needed to be done. Lucas' hands stayed under Berry's for the remaining hours of the day, a new type of feeling entering his heart.
